this is a loaded question, and any potential answer depends entirely on the context
do i support the taliban ideology and the govt they had in the 1990s? hell no.
if an afghan civil war breaks out between shamalian and pashtuns, then of course i support the taliban

I don't support Taliban. Their ideology is too narrow minded and doesn't work in a place like Afghanistan. Afghanistan has its rich Islamic history. We don't need Saudi salafist scholars to tell us how to run our country. Taliban are only good if they are reformed and made into fighting units within the Afghan army.
The name Taliban should be disowned. It has too many negative connotations.

That's what our enemies want. This scenario should be avoided at any cost. Taliban are too stubborn and hot headed so if pashtuns leave it upto them this will surely happen. Pashtun and Tajiks need to come to a compromize, uzbeks and hazaras are irrelevant if these two groups can agree on a power sharing strategy.Originally posted by Amir al Ghaznavi View Postthis is a loaded question, and any potential answer depends entirely on the context

With regards to the current politics of Afghanistan, I am largely apathetic.
I will not support any faction in that country.
Do the Taliban have some good qualities about them?
Sure, so did the Communists.
No single group in that country fully represents my view. For that reason no group in that country will get my complete support.
Whatever happens there will happen. I'm sick of it all. So is my family. So are most real-life Pashtuns that I know.
We have lost far too much to care. We have had enough of war.
When I see people (whether Talib, Communist or whatever else) so heavily aligned to their group's ideology, virtually to the point of blind faith, I feel admiration and pity at the same time...---
To advise others is an easy matter, the difficulty is accepting advice -- since it is bitter for those who follow their
own inclinations and desires.

support in what context? support their legacy of rule, or the war they are waging now, or all of it in one?
anyone who says they support them 100% needs to be urinated one. not by some kaffir soldiers, but by some real afghans. There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.
