Civilization doesn't work that way Soldat. Most Europeans especially Germans, Russians, Celtics and other tribes of central and northern Europe were known as "Barbarians" to the Romans and Greeks. The only two great ancient civilizations of Europe were the Greeks and Romans. The first writing system, laws, intensive agriculture, the wheel and many other inventions were made by the Messopotamians (Iraq) who were semitic non Europeans. Where do you think the Greeks got their knowledge from? Ofcourse they borrowed it from Messopotamians, Egyptians, Indians and so on.
Its just a fact of life that one civlization rises and another falls. Do you think these northern European Barabarians were always this sophisticated? No doubt the Greeks were a great civilization but what have the Greeks produced in the last 1500 years?

The Europeans translated Arabic books into Latin when muslims where ruling Spain. Without the muslims, Europeans had no links to ancient Greek, Indian, persian and oriental knowledge.
