Iran is shia, but it is only the muslim country out there to stick it up to the west and Israel, if you dont count (taliban) which are very few anyways

the sunni countries like Saudis/Gulf arabs/pakistan are the biggest puppets of the west.

My question is why? why dont any sunni countries have any _alls?

what about mahatir mohamad? he gave a pretty good speech against the 'global bully' and israels dominance in american politics. in fact he was the one who made that term famous, 'the global bully'.

I think the reasons are clear.
No.1 is that they are one nation, no.2 they have got a strong and courageous leader unlike other sold Muslim leaders, no.3 they have got a strong political, Judicial, administrative system unlike other Muslims countries.

Yet despite this, the United States remained the largest investor in Malaysia. Mahatir Mohammad is just a shrewd politician who gets to have his cake and eat it too.

I get the feeling they'll sell themselves out to China (where the Chinese can build naval bases in the Straight of Hormuz afterwards) when the Iranians start to run out of oil however. They'll have to deal with their fellow Arabs somehow.

That's just intuition though.

The Iranians don't like Arabs, Jews and Turks at all. The only thing Persian about Iran is the poetry and to a lesser degree the women. As Persia was despoiled by the Turks and Arabs.

In many respects Iran is a more modern, inclusive and pluralistic type of society than it's unstable Sunni neighbours. However Iran's regimes weakness is that they must resort to violent repressions in order to keep it's young and restless population in line.

i worked in iran, doing portrait sketches, in 1977. the people were very friendly and took me to their homes where i met the women, the children, grandparents and parents. it was one of my favourite countries on the journey from europe to india, overland.

i dont like the americans , as i dont like the iranians , as long their war is not fought on our soil , as it is done now . i could not care less if they bomb theran .

The Arabs and Jews are afraid of the Iranians for a reason and don't believe everything that you are told about Iran. Tehran is a very large city and pior to the Iranian Revolution, Iran was actually doing quite well.

Persians and Greeks fought each other constantly

Xerexes and Cyrus are well known rulers

Persians were continuously defeated by Pashtuns

Persians used to be Sunni, and became Shiite due to rivalry with Arabs
