that would do no good in the relations of Pashtuns and Baluchs, in Pakistan as well as in Afghanistan.
both have lived side by side for thousand of years, I am sure there is no strong reason to split them via a name.
Most pashtuns live in Quetta which is mostly Pashtun so why another name?

I remember once there were also talks of kakaristan province as 70% pashtuns in balochistan are kakars. Rest are achakzais, tarins, panis, jafars, kansiOriginally posted by Amir al Ghaznavi View PostI have a soft spot for southern Pakhtunistan as my Kakarano roll hella deep there, but I dont support extra Pakhtun provinces, rather one Pakhtun province of Pakistan (fata, pata, balochistan, kp)

Conflicts would definately arise as some districts are half pashtun half baloch. On discovery of coal reserves in loralai in 70s, luni (a pashtun tribe) and mari (balochs) were fighting war for claim on coal reserves for last three decades. Imagine the situation in case of division.Originally posted by Lemar View Postthat would do no good in the relations of Pashtuns and Baluchs, in Pakistan as well as in Afghanistan.

Very difficult. First, Pashtuns live in the northern top of the province and Quetta is half Baloch (according to them), the rest are mostly Pashtuns, Panjabis, Mohajirs, Arabs and Afghan refugees, Divaris and other minorities. Balochistan (Land of Balochs) want it´s own independent and they will not tolerate any intervene of non-Balochs. I mean they stand against the mighty Paki army, so who can come and make claims on Gwadar or Quetta? The only power that can keep Balochs oppressed, is the army and the ISI.
