The films, whilst usually dross, provide an escape element. Life is tough in the homeland.

You failed to grasp the essence of this thread. Look at the woman in front of you dressed in black burqa and compare that to the billboard advertising the movie.

The stark contrast is what should be the subject at hand. Not how colorful my life is in Europe.

It shows how we feel about women in our society. We want them covered when they are related to us, but we sit and enjoy them as peice of meat when they are not related to us.

that old man standing by that gate probably stands there all day trying to make enough money to take home to his family so they dont starve to death.. That woman in the burqa probably can't afford to live in a better neighbourhood and has to walk past that billboard everyday to get groceries for her kids at home.. The only dignity she can afford is that burqa..

We live in countries where we wake up to all these luxuries, and look upon this as hypocrisy .. Well it's not hyposcrisy it's survival.

Sorry but, why not to also say that women should have access to entertainment?

I wouldn't call it cultural pluralism or hypocrisy; I'd rather say it's a paradox. In all its extent.

                How do you describe entertainment?

I'm not about to endorse the above, but now that you mention it, you've partly answered your own thoughts about it. Life is rubbish for many people.
