I don't know if everyone is aware of this but the UK is planning to deport some 4,000 children back to Afghanistan. This is a petition started by the Pashtun Society in the UK to try to stop that from happening if anyone wants to be a part of this effort please read the following copied from: http://www.pashtunsociety.co.nr/

PETITION: SAY NO TO DEPORTING VULNERABLE AFGHAN REFUGEE CHILDREN FROM THE UK
We condemn this proposed action by the UK Government. This is totally UNACCEPTABLE! This action by the UK Government is to be absolutely condemned by us. This is not the right way for the new coalition government to deal with the current immigration issue that we have, they need to look for other ways to deal with it. Sending vulnerable children back to a war zone, where they have no family is NOT an option, and violates human rights.
Apart from this - the UK could better by spending tax-payers' money on intergrating these children into the British society. This proposed action is uncalled for, especially since the UK have many domestic problems that they need to focus on, namely:
1. The well-talked about deficit that this country faces, or the 'black-hole', as its sometimes 'lightheartedly' referred to as
2. Instead, the government should be concentrating on funding schemes to help get people out of unemployment. This economic crises has led many people into unemployment and the government is looking at cutting back in public spending. If the government is so concerned about reducing this deficit, then why is much-needed money being spent on 're-intergration' centres in Kabul?
3. The British Army in Afghanistan have complained about lack of equipment and resources, to an extent that senior army officials have had to resign in a type of protest. This issue has contributed to many British service men and women being injured in battle or loosing their life. Shouldn't this money be spent on the army, making sure they are well equipped, which might eventually help save some lives?
4. Does the British government really think that deportees will be able to 'intergrate' into a war torn country, whilst NATO forces are there trying to complete the job they came to do in the first place? This idea is NOT cost effective and the focus should be on intergrating these children into our society.
5. Afghan refugee children can become beacons of our society, and contribute to a prosperous tomorrow. These children have gone through many hardships and suffering - some have even come to the UK on foot from Afghanistan, with nothing, due to fear for their safety. Sending these children back is against International Human Rights and sending those back who fear their safety is illegal!
There are many, many other reasons why Afghan refugee children SHOULDN'T be sent back, including the implications of this on these children, such as mental and physical health.

Due to changes that they are making to their system, because of the new government in office, this facility is temporarily unavailable and so for this reason this forum was made to create an 'E-Petition'. This allows people from all over the world to support this campaign.
THE DEPORTATION OF AFGHAN REFUGEE CHILDREN BY THE UK GOVERNMENT IS NOT THE WAY!
Please support our campaign to stop the deportation of innocent Afghan refugees to their war-torn homeland. This is not the right way!! This action violates the international human rights of these children, with most not even having a family to go back to in Afghanistan. Instead, it will be better for the UK Government to spend the money on helping these children to integrate into the society, children who could be a positive part of tomorrow's British society. The government likes to talk about the 'black hole' i.e the deficit that this country needs to deal with. Instead, they propose to spend money on deportation and 're-integration into a war-ridden Afghan society. Most of these children left Afghanistan for fear of their safety and returning them back to a state of vulnerability is not the right way. Instead, Britain will face blacklash in the future, where the very same deported people will find ways back into Britiain through different channels. Isn't it better to keep them here and make them an invalueable part of British society? We need to send our campaign to the Home Office. Please support us.
