According to our correspondent in Mohmand Agency, local chief of Taliban Umar Khalid`s special secretary Mukarram Khurasani has claimed responsibility for the attacks.

It's just mind-boggling.. The people who are destroying your homes are busy building their luxury residential schemes and villas in Punjab. What have these poor girls done to you? How will destroying their futures avenge you especially when the people who have wronged you are not in the least affected by this. In fact, they benefit when Pashtuns remain uneducated.
From 2007 to 2009, at least 473 schools had been destroyed by the Taliban and the Pakistani army across FATA and Swat. I don't know what the latest figures are but I wouldn't be surprised if that figure crosses 1,000. As it is, in places like Waziristan, only 1.47% of the total number of women know how to read and write their own name! 98.43% of the women of North Waziristan are completely and utterly illiterate.
These illiterate women will breed the next generation of Pathan chowkidaars, chai-walas, bus drivers, taxi drives, daily-wage laborers, naswaris, heroinchis and charas-smugglers while our neighbors are busy becoming engineers and developing new fighters jets to bomb us with.
