i think we just suck at soccer. There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

funny thing i was expecting someone to come and divert the attention back and say something about afghans.Originally posted by randolph85 View Posti think we just suck at soccer.
Afghans did a great job
look closely there was no foul and he also gave red card to the goalkeeper(the most important player) and than came the lousy short keeper.
also take a look at the afghan game before the fake call.
and how in the hell they put a sikh guy as refree when india is playing, that is against the rules.

Well apparently the goalie pushed the referee when he signaled for the foul. This isnt captured in the highlights video as the camera is on the forward ad the referee and the Afg goalie are off focus.
Maybe the referee made a mistake but it will be far fetched to say India cheated. India has lot multiple times in football at home. And btw, the Asian football organizations appoints the referees, not the India football federation.
And yes, Afghanistan were playing brilliantly untill the red card happened and India were on the defensive.

Just your usual childish allegations. Maybe the ref made a mistake, happens a lot of times in football. But that isn't proof enough that he cheated.Originally posted by graveyardofempires View Postno mistake just being indian sikh corrupt.

there si nothing childish about this.
you also lied about Ahmad Shah Baba and now you are lying about this football match.

Ok. Let me give you a lesson on how to construct a rational argument. For you to say I am lying, you have to show that the referee was in collusion with the Indian team. For that, apart from the incident itself, you have no proof. Just your own (or some members of the Afghan team) belief that he cheated, based on that incident alone isn't enough. Got it?Originally posted by graveyardofempires View Postquit lying thats all im saying.

For example, in the recent Pakistani cricket players match-fixing case, there were recorded conversations and witnesses who saw them take money in exchange for no-balls. Hence they were found guilty. So just the act of bowling no balls or showing a red card isn't enough. There has to be proof, witness etc to back whatever you are saying. Where is the evidence here?Last edited by KhalsaWarrior; 12-13-2011, 09:41 AM.

no wonder you indians are big time cheaters, otherwise how could you win from Afghan?
no need to try to teach, why in the will i want to learn from a cheat and a liar supporter.
the proof here is on the camera as well but you see the sikh guy being a cheat you all up sudden try to defend this liar and a cheat.
thi is disgusting how you try to defend this cheat and liar.

Anyone with half a brain and two eyes could see that it was not a penalty.
The indian player was touched on the line, NOT inside the box. so first of all it wasn't a penalty based on where the foul took place. second of all the contact was minimal and even if the indian player wasn't touched, the pace on the ball was too much and the indian player wouldn't have reached the ball.
Apparently the goalkeeper called the refree "behnchod". although that is a curse word. it doesn't justify the red card. he should have been given a yellow card and charged with improper conduct. a straight red is too harsh given the fact, he had already given a penalty.
When the match started I couldn't believe they chose a sikh of indian descent to offciate the final. couldn't they find someone neutral, like japanese or whatever. Even though I would like to think there wasn't corruption involved. something smells fishy.
congrats to India for winning, hard luck to Afghans. WE will learn from this defeat and get better.
