GOE....this demonisation of the Pashtun people is solely due to our stupid policies and decisions by our own people.
Karachi is a Sindhi city, it belongs to them, why should Pashtuns go there in the 1000s as IDPs?
Why don't they stand their ground against the Taliban and the twisted policies of the Pakistani government.
I hear stories of Afghan refugees being treated badly in Swat aswell.
Our people are to be blamed, plus in Karachi there are 100s of Pashtun criminal gangs who extort and smuggle drugs into the city to make a living.
If we were decent and strong unified people we would have never needed to go Karachi as IDPs in the first place.Comment

there was a show on geo news in which the guy travelled to an area of karachi where people said there weere talibans but when thye found it, there were no talibans. there were only criminal gangs and such. this is all nonsense.Comment

Infact, Karachi belongs to SINDHIS, not pashtuns punjabis or balochis...
It's scandalous that sindhis are in minority in their own land/city...

Due to ethnic conflicts, urdu speakers of karachi strongely dislike pashtuns. On pakistani forums the antipashtun comments mostly come from karachites....Its wrong to say that with foundation of MQM, ethnic roits started...History of ethnic riots dates back to 60s. I dont care what karachi says, he lives in america, majority of his people are anti-pakhtun and supports MQM.
Mohajirs successfully subdued sindhis , punjabis and balochs in karachi but they are unable to crush pashtuns who are mostly from very poor class. Now they are using "taliban card" to stop influx of pashtuns.
In lahore there are 1.5 million pashtuns but ethnic tensions have never arised, but these sons of indian soil in karachi have made life miserable for us.

^ luffy you have never been to karachi, just go ask Shebhaz khan if you dont believe me, he lives in Karachi. "all" urdu speakers as you put it certainly do not hate pashtuns, nor "all" Urdu speakers support MQM. Heck you dont even know that there are acutally two MQM's. MQM haqqiqi which is Anti Altaf and even a guy like Zulfiqar Mirza supports MQM haqqiqi and his leader.
Now that said, any one who supports Altaf Hussain and MQM, will probably hate pashtuns yes, and I think you are only meeting MQM supporters to base your judgment on all urdu speakers.
I think you need to be rationale, and travel to Karachi to base your judgments. There are any estimated 8 million urduspeakers and 5-6 million pashtuns in Karachi, if there was a real war between two people, surely there will be much more killing happening on a daily basis, most of the killings only happen in certian poorer areas of the city. In most areas of Karachi Urdu speakers and Pashtuns work together on a daily basis in peace with no enmity between each other. You have to also remember that a average person be it pashtun or urdu speaker is not a political person, they are just human beings trying to make a living, they dont really care for politics.

Karachi brother, i know all about these haqqi stuff , i personally know some urdu speakers, i have my kiliwals in karachi..heck my urdu is even better than you...its not just ANP vs MQM...pashtuns kill pant shirt mohajirs with razors and mohajirs kill pashtuns of shalwar kamez in their respective areas when situation is tense...if shehbaz is truthful , he would confirm it, its not just ANP vs MQM.
Urduspeakers are characterwise better than punjabis and are less corrupt and are intelligent but they are violent.Comment

This is true, it does happen, but this is not happening on a daily basis nor every area of karachi, considering there is such a huge Urdu and Pashtun population in the city. In fact the biggest problem in Karachi is actually random violence and theft, there are so many criminals/thugs/gangsters of all kinds roaming the streetsOriginally posted by Luffy View PostComment
