US-led NATO forces have killed at least three Afghan civilians in an attack on a village in the southern province of Helmand, Press TV reports.
Local residents said one woman was also wounded in the overnight attack in Nadali district, a Press TV correspondent reported on Saturday.
Two people were arrested in the operation, according to residents.
Our correspondent said Afghan and NATO officials both confirmed the attack.
Afghan sources, however, say the victims have not yet been identified.
NATO claims the villagers were hostile parties posing a threat to the foreign forces in Afghanistan.
Thousands of Afghan civilians have been killed by US-led forces since the occupation of the country over a decade ago.
Insecurity continues to rise across Afghanistan despite the presence of nearly 150,000 US-led forces in the country.
