  • Support for Pakistan's support for the US war/occupation of Afghanistan

While this is a forum, and does not really reflect reality in any degree, and generalizations can not be made one way or another, sometimes one has to question positions by a few, even if their positions are generally insignificant. Its not like arguing over this forum is going to have any impact whatsoever in regards to what is transpiring in Afghanistan, and the US failure in Afghanistan. Anyone who thinks otherwise is simply a fool. However, it is appropriate to examine history and look at the source of conflict, and this is where forums such as these are helpful for anyone doing research into this.

Now, onto something that is very amusing. I posted an article today on this forum. http://www.pashtunforums.com/politic...akistan-24056/

Here the title reads "It's Time to End Our Relationship With Pakistan." This article was published by FoxNews, a conservative American news channel which largely voices positions they believe to be Patriotic.

This American author/writer wishes to end all American ties with Pakistan since he/she rightfully points out that there exist a conflict of interest.

Under this article, there is another article posted NATO attack: Pakistanis demand end to US ties with the title
Pakistanis demand end to US ties

Hence, Pakistanis demand of their government to end ties with the US appears to be in agreement with the American writer who detests Pakistan for his/her reasons.

After posting this, our dear friend here, Soldat, replies to me saying that I am posting pro-Pakistani posts.

I guess I actually do. Unknownprince, why do you continue to make it obvious your nothing but a Paki on here trying to save Pakistan from the evil hands of America?

If America cuts the aid, those skinny ass Lawyers who run around preaching about freedom and justice but wrap flowers around a killer like mumtaz Qadri, those little skinny lawyers, do understand that most of their scholarships abroad would be dramatically cut.

You do understand Pakistan virtually runs on American aid, and if America cuts it, Pakistan would crumble to pieces, you do understand, that without American Aid, the Pakistan army would be finished and collapse.
I guess you really need to do some education on the subject of American aid to Pakistan.

Because if America cuts the aid, who is Pakistan going to beg from? Russia? China? you and I know they wont help Pakistan, especially when Pakistan has harboured boht Chinese Islamists and Chechens too, you ever wonder, why China has step up its border patrols with Pakistan, I guess you dont get the hint, you little kid living in America or Canada!
Now, if you read this, it appears that Soldat is concerned about the ending of US-Pakistan ties? Does his anti-Pakistan rhetoric make any sense? Why is he so bothered by this news that US-Pak relationship may be over for good, or downgraded? Shouldn't this news make people who are supposedly anti-Pakistan happy?

The problem is they in fact support Pakistan's support for the US war and occupation of Afghanistan, and this, they do not want to see disappear. This is also the reason for a wishful and desperately hopeful wish that Pakistan continues to cooperate with the US war and occupation of Afghanistan.

So, hope there is no confusion, but for all their outward anti-Pakistan rhetoric, they in fact are supporting Pakistan's current support for the US war and occupation, something which Imran Khan, with his recent demands may have ultimately put a complete and final stop to. This then explains why they detest Imran Khan. Its not because he was a womanizer back in the day, but simply because he will end (if not already ended) Pakistan support for the US war and occupation of Afghanistan. Not only that, he has also made it crystal clear that he wants the US to exit Afghanistan and the region all together. This statement was made at his speech in Lahore back in October. Khan winds down the Afghan war - Indian Punchline "He put it nicely with a political maturity that belies his critics and detractors: Khan said he wants to be friendly toward the US and so he would like to help them gracefully withdraw their troops from Afghanistan and leave the region."

So, while on one hand they put up this front of being opposed to Pakistan on all levels, they in fact support Pakistan's support for the US war and occupation of Afghanistan, and that is the only reason they are deadly against Imran Khan.

Imran Khan, according to Pew polls (a non-partisan think tank), is the most popular politician in Pakistan, and is slated to win this election.

However, with his recent demand to end Pakistan's support for the US war and occupation of Afghanistan, and for the US to leave, he has already raised the stakes in this election. This current Pakistan regime (which according to memogate wanted to hand US a victory in Afghanistan) has no choice but to follow this demand because it resonates with the people. In either case, Imran Khan virtually is part to bringing this inhumane war and occupation of Afghanistan to en end.

So, the last final question is, who is currently pro-Pakistan? Moral and logical people oppose Pakistan for their continued support for the US war and occupation of Afghanistan, but immoral and illogical people are opposed to Pakistan for "not doing enough" to support the US war and occupation of Afghanistan. However, they are content with Pakistan's current level of support for the US war and occupation of Afghanistan which props up the illegal government of Karzai, and this is why they hate Imran Khan
