What is most worrying in my opinion is that Pakistan has played a game with Afghanistan for too long in order to secure their stability, a stability that will never happen as Pakistan is not a "real" country. This is not meant as an insult for the Pakistanis here but just the reality when you invent a country 64 years ago and divide it among different peoples.

The game they have played has been with usa who for obvious reasons have an interest in the region. So not only are they traitors for the Muslim cause (Pakistans government) but they are also actively promoting american occupation of an Muslim land for selfish reasons.

I hope Pakistan has realized it failures and now will act in the interests of the Muslim world and not the american interest.

Their problem is that they have betrayed a whole country with their cooperation with the americans. The relationship will take very long time to normalize again but the first step is to kick out the americans from Pakistani territory.

to be honest its not only pakistan but almost all modern countries are not real countries, for example even Iraq is made of two different people, arabs and kurds, you can say the same thing about many other countries, so not sure why people only pick on pakistan when using this argument

Pakistan - a nuclear nation, massively under-developed, corrupt and insecure - is hellbent on destablising the neighbourhood. That should answer why Pakistan is not viewed favourably.

true buts that a different reason. I am talking about the "fake" nation argument many people use. while it may indeed be true that it is not a real nation on a ethnic basis, but like I said pakistan is not the only nation to have many different ethnic groups living in one country, there are many more countries like this.

No, Iraq the homeland of the oldest civilization in the world is not a country....

But it is right that Kuwait and parts of Iran should be Iraqi land.

The only big group of people that are not native in Iraq are the Kurds but they have lived for centuries in northern Iraq and intermarried with Arabs so they are just as much a part of our culture as many others.

I think you need to read about Iraqi history a bit more.

Start with these two documentaries.

IRAQ: From Babylon To Baghdad - History Channel (2004) - YouTube

History of Iraq (Mesopotamia) Part 1 تأريخ العراق - YouTube

And I am sorry if I told the truth about Pakistan. Before 1947 there was no such word.

^ Kurds hate Arabs. Highly doubt they inter married with Arabs. You are right Pakistan isn't a country but one of the oldest, if not the oldest civilisations of the world, ever heard of Harrapan and mohenjo daro?

I figure the turning point was Khomeni and the revolution. Other than that, the Arabs are suspicious of Iran. But from a historical perspective Persian culture is seen as influential. Also Iranians seem to hold their own so that generates respect.

No, they do not hate each other. Ever wondered why Kurds and Arabs did not fought against each other but mainly against Shias througout history and during the Iraqi War? Ever wondered how many half Arabs and half Kurds there are in Iraq? No probably not, because you do not know anything about that theme.

And why are you so angry when I say the truth about Pakistan? There are no such race called Pakistani.

Karachi:

Are you seriously comparing the creation of a total new state in Pakistan 64 years ago to a country with 10.000 years history (Iraq)?

It doesn not matter whether the state is homogenous or not. Russia is about 1200 years old but a lot of different people has lived and lives on their territory.

The point is that before the creation of Pakistan the Pahstuns, Sindhs and Punjabis had their own "countries" so to speak.

The word Pakistan was not used before 1947.

Ever heard about Ottoman Iraq? The British Mandate of Mesopotamia (1920-1932) later Kingdom of Iraq (1932-1958) had more or less the same borders as Ottoman Iraq. (1533-1920)

Iraq was always called Mesopotamia and had a distinguish role in nearly all Islamic empires before the Ottoman conquest.

Badmashboy:

"
Iraq, known in Classical Antiquity as Mesopotamia, was home to some of the oldest civilizations in the world,[1][2] with a cultural history of over 10,000 years.[3][4] hence its common epithet, the Cradle of Civilization. Mesopotamia, as part of the larger Fertile Crescent, was a significant part of the Ancient Near East throughout the Bronze Age and the Iron Age. Successively ruled by the Assyrian, Medo-Persian, Seleucid and Parthian empires during the Iron Age and Classical Antiquity, Iraq was conquered by the Rashidun Caliphate and became a center of the Islamic Golden Age during the medieval Abbasid Caliphate. After a series of invasions and conquest by the Mongols and Turkmens, Iraq fell under Ottoman rule in the 16th century, intermittently falling under Mamluk and Safavid control.
Ottoman rule ended with World War I, and Iraq came to be administered by the British Empire until the establishment of the Kingdom of Iraq in 1932. The Republic of Iraq was established in 1958 following a coup d'état. The Republic was controlled by Saddam Hussein from 1979 to 2003, into which period falls the Iran-Iraq war and the First Persian Gulf War. Saddam Hussein was deposed in 2003 following the US-led invasion of the country. After the invasion, the situation deteriorated and from 2007 Iraq has been in or on the brink of a state of civil war."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_iraq

The oldest culture in the world was based in modern day Iraq. That is why Iraq is called the Cradle of the Civilization. Not the culture you talk about, Badmashboy.

I am not saying that there were not ancient cultures on Pakistani territory I am only saying that the state of Pakistan never existed before 1947 but consisted of Pashtun, Sindh, Baloch and Punjabi territory among others. Are you not a Pashtun?

What you are talking about is the Indus Valley civilization which is 5000 years younger than the Sumerian found in Iraq which was the first one in the world.

Tor Khan,

No Afghan fights for Pakistan. No Afghan waves the Pakistani flag, and wants to place it at Kandahar. To say otherwise is preposterous .

Viet Cong (Minh) did not fight for China or Russia

Iraqis did not fight for Iran or Syria

Whether there is little or significant support is in fact irrelevant. There are also multiple donors within the Gulf nations who support them as well as some Saudi Arabian "royalty." It means nothing though.

The Karzai regime in Kabul is backed by a US alliance of over 50+ nations. Hamid Karzai was ferreted into Afghanistan from Pakistan abroad American choppers.

so what is the significance of Pakistan's supposed meddling?

What significance does it have to the situation, if any at all?
