Imran vows to help provide safe exit to US-led forces in Afghanistan

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehrek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has vowed to help provide safe exit to US from Afghanistan if he prevails in next elections.
Addressing a massive public gathering here at Minaar-e-Pakistan, he supported friendship with all the countries including the United States but would never bow before them.
“We would never carry out a single military operation in their support,” he maintained.
Khan, also former prominent cricketer and hence popular among majority youth population of the country, said that military operations in the tribal areas would never end terrorism.
The PTI government would quit the coalition and would transfer the responsibility of ousting the real terrorists on the shoulders of the tribal people, Imran Khan further said.
He said that drone attacks is pushing the tribal people towards militancy and PTI would immediately take step to stop it after it comes into power.
It is pertinent to mention that Khan is always vocal against the drone US attacks in FATA and prefer negotiation over operation against militants in the tribal areas.
He said, “We have inflicted atrocities on people in Balochistan and we would take them along. Today I beg apology from them.”
The PTI chief said, Today we are beginning a (movement) of new Pakistan’ from Minar-e-Pakistan the historic place from where Founder of the Nation Quad-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah began his movement.
He questioned how could Asif Zardari provide bread, cloth and shelter when under his rule 16,000 people committed suicide.
Imran Khan said: “Asif Zardari wrote a letter to the US requesting please save me from the army.” The rally is a sign of revolution in Pakistan and the rulers cannot stop this revolution, he added.
Imran Khan said that the biggest problem facing Pakistan is corruption which the PTI will strive to eradicate and install honest officers in key positions.
He further said that his party would resolve the issues of Pakistan including the electricity crisis and make it mandatory for politicians to declare their assets.
Khan also said Pakistan is a rich country full of minerals but the corruption and bad governance turned it into a beggar state. He said that the rulers have sold their nation for dollars.
Criticising the government Khan said that there is no comparison between Zufiqar Ali Bhutto and Asif Zardari.
“The PTI will not allow the military to attack its people, PTI believes in talks with the tribals,” said Imran Khan.
