  • US doesn't want to reveal deal terms: Siddiqui

The United States does not want its conditions and demands mentioned in the strategic agreement to be published in the media, the Loya Jirga spokeswoman said on Thursday.
Participants of the assembly were not provided with information about the demands and conditions set by the US for the agreement on the second day on Thursday, Safia Siddiqui told a press conference in Kabul.
She said the US did not want its terms to be disclosed to the media. "Therefore, participants of the jirga have not been provided with any details in this regard."
She added the attendees had been given detailed information about the conditions set by the Afghan government. But US conditions were secret and sensitive, the spokeswoman remarked.
Siddiqui skipped questions whether or not the US conditions would be revealed to jirga participants, who demanded complete information, but were given the portion of the draft that needed public opinion.
"I would say what the delegates have been provided with is not clear and complete. The jirga has convened to complete the text," she added.
She said the text was being discussed and it would be sent to the Wolesi Jirga for approval after being finalised. However, she did not say when the text would be completed.
Siddiqui promised demands and concerns of Loya Jirga participants would be considered in finalising the agreement.
She said the pact would be valid for a decade until 2024. She acknowledged differences among participants on contents of the agreement, but they were resolved after discussion and consultations.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

You live in a house with your parents. You have 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Your father is very strict and so is your older brother. They refuse to let you neither watching TV nor using the computer/Internet.

Your younger brother has a friend who belongs to a street gang. A rival gang came to your house to avenge what your brother's friend did to them because they thought that your brother belongs to the same gang since they were always hanging around together.

They broke a window, burned your living room, killed your mother and raped your younger sister.

But time is short for the thugs, your neighbors heard some noise and we can already hear the police sirens. Your older brother climbed upstairs to take the rifle and is now shooting at the thugs. An officer declared through a megaphone that there is only 2 hours left before the assault.

The thugs decided to make a deal before leaving.

Your father refuses any kind of deal, he is not able to fight because he is too old but he is providing your brother with ammunitions, behind the door, upstairs, where he was hiding.

Your other sister who wasn't raped decided to accept the deal. She accepted to sit round the table with the thugs and she promised to arrange them a favourable trial.
