Iqtidar-i-Islami opposes presence of foreign forces

Iqtidar-i-Islami opposes presence of foreign forces - PakTribune
KABUL: Opposing the military bases of the America and presence of the foreign forces in Afghanistan, the Iqtidar-i-Islami party leader Engineer Ahmad Shah Ahmadzai has said all the foreign troops should leave Afghanistan as soon as possible.
Talking to the Afghan Islamic Press on Sunday, Engineer Ahmad Shah Ahmadzai said that in the presence of the foreign forces neither peace could be restored to Afghanistan, nor people of the country could live their lives happily. The foreign forces are the main and basic reason of issues in Afghanistan, he maintained.
"We do not agree with any kind of military bases and presence of foreign forces in Afghanistan. We strongly condemn the people who support military bases or presence of the foreign forces in the country,"
    he maintained.
To a query of the Afghan Islamic Press regarding the strategic agreement with the America and Loya Jirga, Ahmadzai said: "We have announced boycotting the Loya Jirga. We do not consider it in the favour of Islam and Afghanistan. We do not consider the strategic agreement with the US in the interest of Afghanistan."
"Strategic agreement with the US is a non-Islamic, non-balanced, illegal and immoral step because in Islam there is no example of accepting superiority of Kufar (non-Muslims) over the Muslims. Due to this reason this agreement is not balanced as Afghanistan is a small and weak country. The America can ink such agreements with China, Britain and other such countries. Morally the agreement is not favourable as the countries where America has established military bases have been turned into obscene countries. Due to this reason our party completely opposes this brutal agreement," he maintained.
Regarding the Loya Jirga, Ahmadzai said the President Hamid Karzai was collecting such people in the jirga who would accept his stance."Who say representatives of this jirga are representatives of the nation? Who has nominated them? Did the nation vote them? No. Rather they are invited to the Loya Jirga according to the directions of the president to the district and provincial governors. Their opinion will have no importance," he maintained.
Ahmadzai said the religious clerics had termed as Haram (illegal) the strategic agreement with the US in the current circumstances, and that the clerics had strongly opposed the agreement. He went on to say the religious clerics had passed a decree which prohibited participation in the Loya Jirga. He maintained his party would never take part in gatherings which are termed Haram in Islam, adding his party would never accept agreement which Islam doesn't allow.
It's pertinent to mention here a coalition (national unity front and hostility against foreign military bases) has been recently formed in Kabul.
    End.

Karzai is simply isolating himself in Afghanistan, and further increasing resentment.

Logically speaking, through this war and occupation supporting of his, it has indirectly resulted in unifying the various opposition groups whether they be Socialists or Religious and appears to have drawn the ethnic groups onto the same page.

What an indirect and unintentional result on his part?

resulting in Afghan unity against occupation and war.
