What are they doing right now? Why do they support Haqqani, a non-Taliban group/organization? Because they need a two way option. The Haqqani as door backer against a non-Taliban and anti-Pakistan government of future Afghanistan and their monsters as a try to establish themself in Afghanistan. The result is not important for them as long they can keep Afghanistan busy.

Irrelevant that Pashtuns live in the north or not. Non-Pashtuns live in the south and east, too. They are a minority in Pashtun belt, like Pashtuns are a minority in a non-Pashtun belt.

I use to be very native and gullible when it came to the topic of Pashtun unification.

However, as time went on, I experienced a sudden shift in my stance. I read books, a lot of books, as you can see from the articles, and I realized Pakistan is not the only problem, its our own people who live in Pakistan who contribute to most of the problems we face.

Like for example, I read, that most of the ISI operatives in Afghanistan, were actually Pashtuns, such as the Quetta ISI branch, Col Faizan, the Pashtun General Babar, General Kakar, even one or two heads of Pakistan ISI have been led by Pashtuns. Obviously, we all know, they have been placed there and instructed by Punjabis(Pakjabs) to do the dirty work in Pashtuns as a whole.

Another factor is that, most of the Militancy is led on from places located in Pakistan and not Afghanistan, even the Peshawar seven were located in Peshawar, the likes of Ahmad Shah Masood were trained at the Cherat Army base near Peshawar.

Our own people in Pakhtunkhwa, knew all this was going on, but why the silence?

Everyone in Pakhtunkhwa knows, that Madrassahs such as Darol ul Haqqania, breed suicide bombers who are sent to Afghanistan to kill Afghans, why do they not attack Maulanan Sami ul haq(Pakistani Pashtun)?

I have noticed another thing with Pashtuns in Pakistan. They seem to assume just because they are Pashtun, they have some right to cross the border and kill Afghans for Pakistan, let me clarify this, Afghanistan is a country and just because your an Pashtun does not mean you can do what you want, if you want to be an Afghan, apply for citizenship and follow the legal way, this lawlessness and lack of controlling the border has resulted in mismanagement and unlawful disorder.

I have met many people and experienced a lot in regards to the politics of the region, and I have seen two faces in Pakhtunkhwa, they never seem to ever confront the problems in Pakistan, but rather vent their frustrations on Afghanistan when they feel like.

Take the example I made about women in Kabul, I can recall, in Pakhtunkhwa, how they would say, in Kabul there use to be women who would wear what they want, but Mujahideen changed all that for the good, but they never seem to look at their own Pakistan, and how many women there prefer to wear what they want, especially in Punjab.

We as Afghans, supporters of Afghanistan, loyalists, Nationalists need to address this to Pashtuns of Pashtunkhwa, that if you want to continue being Pakjab Pakistani Pathans then declare it so.

I think Karzai should never fenced the border for the time being, and if anyone including Pashtuns from Pakistan wanted to cross the border to blow themselves up, then legally and both with int law, would be considered an act of war by Pakistan, and a declaration of War should have been made on Pakistan.

As usual our leaders are too weak to speak up against Pakistan, and our own people are too scared or divided to even organize themselves into a correct orderly manner to fight Pakistan.

Most of the Afghan Talibs, TTP, Arabs, Uzbek Militants are hiding in Pakhtunkhwa, and I have yet to see what the Pashtuns of Pakhtunkhwa are doing to prevent these people from attacking Afghanistan, as a matter of fact, they say FC(Frontier Corps) is assisting them and guiding them on where to attack in Afghanistan, giving them access into Afghanistan through Khost etc.

We really do need a dose of reality and start writing up some strategy plans. We should waste too much time and effort at unification so early, let the Pakistani Pashtuns realise their love for Pakistan, once the Pakjabs and Mojjahirs in Karachi start teaching them a lesson of "land of the pure brotherly love", I hopefully, will already have given my pledge of allegiance to Afghanistan before all this crap happens.

Waziristan is just a land with mountains and a province named by the British, Afghanistan is my real focus and heartland, where my ancestors migrated to Waziristan.

I support the unification of all Pashtun people into one country, but this is just a dream if we still have Pro PunjabPakjab Dhaal stinking Pakistani supporters like EMKhan who declare love for Pakistan while on the other hand interfere in Afghanistan.

Maseed, I should go back and thank every comment you made in this thread, but here mostly it is your raw honesty that speaks volumes. You come very close to the truth and for that I thank you. What I want to see ideally is more people from Pashtunkhwa to self reflect and then do something about it. After the damage done to our sense of self-worth, our culture and language, empty nostalgia is the thing I find most difficult to listen to.

I agree that way too many of our Pashtoon brothers are sleepwalking into a submission that can and should be avoided and that our sisters in Pashtunkhwa do not come forwards with that formidable passion that is required by a nation with a sense of direction. I am not even talking about the "oppressed" classes, I am talking about people, with supposedly free choice.

Way too many of our so-called Mashars have sold us out to be manipulate and they have much to answer for.

The truth is, I don't blame all Panjabis, nor are all Pakistanis at fault. What is wrong is that no matter how we look at it, is since "independence" Pakistan has served a defacto Urudised-Panjabi-Muslim interest. This and a class of people who believe themselves to be the natural successors to the Mughal legacy. It is a tight power nexus that does not benefit the other ethnic groups, and is unlikely to do so. So yes, it is wrong.

Pashtoons who are honest about this and wise to the truth, refuse to accept this.

Afghanistan will become a Sunni Sharia version of Iran to put the picture in perspective. Regional nations will grow to immediately recognize Afghanistan, and it will serve as a unifying factor for the region. These nations will have their own interests as always, and Afghanistan will benefit from the free trade agreements with the regional nations as well. A lot of proper development will have to start, but this will only happen when the war and occupation are over since occupation has lead to instability and unrest.

The reason why only a Sharia government will form is that it has minimum corruption, and that will serve Afghanistans interests as well as the region. I suspect that regional nations will attempt to come to terms with the emerging reality in Afghanistan which will be without the US and Karzai. This is why regional countries are not taking Karzai seriously (you can note this from a growing pattern of loss of communication between him and others)

With the vast mineral wealth of Afghanistan and the all important trade routes, a free and independent Afghanistan will be very vital to the region and peace and now with the end of war and occupation, will logically serve as a binding point that unifies the region rather than divide it. Afghanistan will accrue a lot of profit from taxation at first, and later imports. In accordance with Islam, all national resources will probably be nationalized. This means China will have to exit or rewrite terms of agreements made with the fraudulent and illegal Kabul government.

Gradually, Afghanistans economy will be able to prosper. This will happen within years after the complete US withdrawal because the US occupation has prevented peace and is the sole barrier to regional harmony, peace, and development.

I suspect some major regional conferences will be held to help usher the beginning of a free Afghanistan after the end of the war and end of the US occupation.

Within 30 years, Iran has become a regional power, and I suspect a lesser time period for Afghanistan to achieve even greater development and independence than Iran.

The future is bright for peace and prosperity in Afghanistan, and for the free, humane, civilized, and Eastern world.
