Pashto kicked off the upcoming Bonn conference!

Just came across a shocking news on Khabarial.com. Pashto language will not be officially used in upcoming Bonn conference. Bear in mind, this conference is about a war and a country where most victims happen to be Pashto speakers.

There will be Fashtuns participating in this conference but not actual Pashtuns. Karzai and his entourage has decided not to speak their native Pashto langauge giving a preference to Dari and English. According to sources; Pashto linguists/ translators are informed via email that their services will not be needed during Bonn conference.

GOE, i could care less about Bonn, what bothers me is the poor treatment of Pashto language by its natives.

We need to get rid of these sold leaders who take the name of Pukhtunwali and pashtoons and then sell them and betray them.

Whith every day I my hate towards Karzai increases. He is such an *******, to not speak Pashto is he ashamed of it, or what.

Pashto is still among the official languages of the Bonn conference, every document there has to be printed in pashto, dari and english as per the charter. The visiting afghan delegation 'may' have decided that it would be better to explain their situation in a language that all the stakeholders could understand so they may be able to better present their point of view and their ideas about the future of their country.

NATO is starting to withdraw, post 2014 there is as of yet absolutely no strategy for the future of Afghanistan would you rather have a bunch of guys try to get their point across in a language no one else understands or would you actually have them do their job, which is to protect the interests of the country. They can only do that if they can make everyone else there "understand" what the heck needs to be done

mate do you care about speaking pashtu there or about making sure Afghanistan's concerns and policy is accurately conveyed to the forum ? and as far as representation is concerned, all of the documents are going to be provided in Pashtu, English and & Dari..Unless you plan on teaching pashtu to everyone at the forum, shouldnt this suffice as accurate representation of Afghan languages ?

Now if they said that no pashtun diplomat will be participating in the event, that would indeed be something to worry about..and something that actually may be true to an extent

Lets calm this situation down, I will advise Karzai to speak in Arabic.

I am sure most Pashtuns dont complain there, Secondly, we as Pashtuns have hardly made our own language of any importance, most of us cant even read nor write our own language including myself.

Most of our language is so Arabised and Farsibied, that you wont find a single Pashtun who doesnt use a Urdu/Arabic/Farsi word to complete his sentence.

Its our own fault of our own making.

They should just stick to English.

its big affrond against the afghan nation , even that they dont use it , it sent out a signal . especially if we consider that europe is full of sholae dota and other **** ,who have khorosan/tajikfacist dreams

besides soldat amir , talk for yourself , its true that our language is not respected as it should be , but we have an unique language , its not arabic nor urdu nor farsi .

if you complain about it , than start by yourself and learn your language , read old books ,preserve and cultivate our language , instead of watching day in day out bollywood movies or listening to american music , or similar acts.

every language has got it loan words , take english or german how many greek and latin words are in it ? or taken over ?

so our language is not arabised or farsibied , and let alone urduised , its maybe true that certain socalled "pathans" spent too much time with punjabis ,but they dont represent the majority of us .

by the way ,can some one tell me where i can get a pashto keyboard and typing programm ? so i can stop using the najezz angress language ,when i am talking with you ?
