I think that we missed the point though. Take for instance the PBS documentary on the House of Saud. There was videography evidence of princes taking on drinking/women in France and the Princes chased down the reporters and threatened them (broke the footage down). I believe that Alchemist's original post discussed multiple dignitaries and other folks that were at the event (not just royal family members). Also recall that Harry of the Royal House ardently supports the British Military activity.

I dont think Alchemsit was trying to pass moral judgement on Kate the Great or whatever they call her over there. My reading of his post was that he could care less what they do in the bedroom, or what they do in the barber shop... or at an Eric Clapton concert... he is just pointing out that these folks are really at the apex of power and dont even deign a thought to the lives they ruin with their decisions.

I think that humanity generally suffers though SXE. Many Americans I meet are fine in their own selves. They generally may do whatever conservative societies view as atrocious, but they generally do not want to bother other people ... but the issue here is that even their lives are sacred right? So I still think its despicable that GW Bush is out snorting coke and flying obsolete air crafts over Texas air space during the Vietnam conflict, and then has the gall to send American boys over sease. No matter how idiotic these folks are in terms of being brainwashed to fight "the good fight", many would probably be more happy staying in their town and growing old without PTSD.
