I was last year in Kabul. I would assume that 90% of the people we met were Tajiks and some Hazaras. Hard to believe your words. There are some restaurants that belong to Pashtuns but the core of economy and infrastructure are taken by Tajiks and Uzbeks and many lands and streets and corners are taken by their warlords. In the last 30years, the number of Pashtuns decreased while that of non-Pashtuns increased. After 2001 the Tajiks have griped on districts that once was dominated by Pashtuns. Maybe three districts are today dominated by Pashtuns, all other districts are dominated by the other people. It´s like Peshawar. Pashtu-speakers decrease day by day.

this is only thing i agree with you on.
Pashtuns are the majority in Kabul and majority of shops in kabul speak pashto otherwise they wont sell as much as they can.

been there couple of years ago and was surprised how the status of pashto has been elevated.

other thing ive seen was that kabulis are much more strict muslims than they were in the 80s.

MOst Pashtuns living in Kabul are bilinguial in farsi s there's no need for Kabul merchants to use Pashto.

that still doesnt proof they dont need to speak in Pashto.
or Pashto is not in use.
It is possible that dari is not needed time to time but Pashto is there all the time.
for example : in Afghanistan all the military ranks and commands.

id say there is a higher ratio of pashtuns in kabul now than ever before, this is mostly due to most refugees who have come back in the last 10 years being pashtuns and going to kabul for economic opportunities or because their native villages are insecure.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

Has anyone of you guys been just outside Kabul?
ALL the villages surrounding Kabul, from Deh Sabz to Charikaar are inhabitated by Pashto speaking people.

Many Pashtuns live inside Kabul, from Deh Afghanan over Kart-e Parwan to Deh-Nau.

I don´t understand why you people are here and discuss TO BE RIGHT but not TO LEARN!
                          The only constant is change.

i think we were all discussing mainly kabul city rather than the province as a whole.

It's funny how these people, who themselves live in the West, wear Western clothes and speak Western languages, want to see their countrymen at home in torn kameez pardug listening to Quranic recitations all the time.

Fanatical religious extremism and puritanical ideals are more dangerous to Pashtun society than modernity.

It reminds me of the fat king who would eat all the food but give nothing to this peasants but promises of a better life.

No different here, in this case, we have people who listen to music themselves, but wish upon others in a very selfish manner not to do the same or blatantly fear monger.

I am sure there are many Taliban Taranay on youtube that hide a Satanic message that leads young boys to blow themselves up, what do you think Lewanay?
