This was ridiculous, infact according to me he should have not even conducted this press conference there was no need and than coming and making the lame statements, like 'Asfandyar ran to America and took millions of dollars but I've no proof' If you don't have proof why are you making a statement against someone?
MQM for the first time confused on media after this press conference they were unable to respond in their usual manner. Few days back he took back the words he said about Asfandyar and this press conference was totally bull**** revealing nothing much.
None of their representative(s) was able to defend what Altaf did.
The Capital Talk that was broadcasted on the vary same day just after the Press Conference is a must watch. Media taught them a lesson.yao warokay ghwandi baagh ao pa khwa ye seen rawan!

Altaf Hussain is not a Sindhi.
He is an Indian immigrant to Karachi, a "Mohajir", who are the biggest "ethnic" (they are actually many different ethnic groups but all Urdu-speakers from India) group in Karachi.

On a historical note it is important to know that Ali Jinnah and Liquat Ali Khan were essentially precursors to Altaf Hussain.
The state-sponsored depiction of Jinnah as part of the national narrative of Pakistan is a wise, Muslim nationalist, this is far from the truth. He was a charisma-less, lacklustre, Anglicized lawyer who wanted "Muslims" from central India to be the ruling class of the new Pakistan, in the same way white European Jews are the ruling class of Israel (despite being a minority). This is why the Sindhis felt betrayed by him.
The same with Liquat Ali Khan. Both Jinnah and Liquat Ali Khan were anti-Bengali, and thus arguably anti-Pakistan as Pakistan was the Bengalis as they were the majority and biggest supporters of the Muslim league.
