MQM is the party of Indian Muslims that left India for Pakistan, "Mohajirs", who have traditionally been in a majority in Karachi. Karachi is MQM's fiefdom.

More and more Pashtuns are coming in to the city and are ANP voters.

MQM wants Karachi to always be a Mohajir/MQM run city, so these are all basically turf wars. They are scared of Pashtuns reducing their power in Karachi.

There are 7 million Pashtuns in Karachis. They have guns and they are ready to fight.

The fightback from the ANP has encouraged others to resist the MQM.

Karachi will be a multi-ethnic city. A Mohajir-owned Karachi is finished.

the funny thing is that a lot of pashtuns actually work for (urduspeakers) businesses, so at the end they both need each other . MQM doesn't work in anyone's interests, it is a terror party

The basic reason is extortion money!!
Plus, all the Pakhtuns coming to Karachi can't vote. To get the voting rights in the city you have to go through a lengthy process. Plus, All the Pakhtuns in the city don't belong to ANP.

Statistics aren't correct. There might be 7million Pakhtuns in Karachi but all of them having guns? This is bull****, the majority of Pakhtuns in Karachi lack guns/weapons. They are here to earn a few rupees for their homes and they even don't bother to vote or get voting rights.

This vary same ANP leader Shahi Sayyed is damn afraid of MQM in the city. If you would have seen the video of Zulfiqar Mirza talking to media at Mardan House when Mirza was drunk. Plus, he left the other day for Dubai, when MQM announced that Mirza and Shahi Sayyed both should leave the city though he came back within 14 hours. Still it counts.

Actually MQM's domination needs to be eradicated.. but that doesn't mean that somebody's else domination should be accepted. Somebody else should be accepted the King of the city. NO!!
