While what you say makes sense, there is reason why all afghan leaders have refused to accept the Durand including Karzai. The problem is that Afghanistan as a landlocked country can never be economically feasible. As long as its landlocked, it will always depend on foreign aid. With Russia destroyed as an empire and cant really support Afghanistan like it has since WW2, Afghanistan has to depend on other foreign aid, it will either be from Saudi, Iran, or the US and Pakistan will continue to have strong influence.

For Afghanistan to be really independent and have a self sufficient economy, it must either join Pakistan under a confederation or Pakistan has to go and unlock Afghanistan. the third option is the status quo and it will have to depend on Foreign Aid forever.

KP pashtuns will continue to support a Pakistan with access to the Indian Ocean and refuse to join a landlocked Afghanistan.

why is it always with you guys about money and what they earn to join or not to join ,if someone is against joining than we oppose those as well and support the one sthat do.
