but its funny how you keep dragging that ghani kkhan said pathan while extreme majority find that tern nothing to do with pukhtane.

So now you agree that the word Pathan could be used interchangeably with the word Pakhtun? Is this so?

            1. Shehbaz Khan is just another Pakistani troll amongst a number of anti-Pashtun Pakistani trolls who have left this forum:

Luffy - A "Pathan" who proudly boasted of his ISI connections, called Afghans "savages" and was also anti-Bengali.

Kafir Maseed - a British Pakistani from the UK who was anti-Islamic and anti-Pashtun and had no shame in adopting mutually contradictory opinions all the time. A character who had no respect for females either. He was also anti-Bengali, not strange for a British Pakistani especially one from Manchester.

Son of Mountains - a hardcore nationalist Pakistani who is now involved in operating an anti-Afghan forum where he insults Afghans. He was never able to endure any criticism of Pakistan.

So I wouldn't take Shehbaz Khan too seriously as he is just a Pakistani nationalist, a source of disinformation and a troll (I have put him on my ignore list, so I cannot waste my time reading his disinformation).

That having been said, I can say that Tormanna is essentially right about the nature of "Mohajir" i.e. Hindustani nationalism.

Hindustanis believe they are superior, just as Arabs believe they are true Muslims and inherently more Muslim and superior to non-Arab Muslims, Hindustanis ("Mohajirs") believe the same of themselves in the south Asian context. To be a south Asian Muslim is to adopt Hindustani culture. A lot of this arrogance and hubris of course lies in neo-Mughalism. The central Hindi-speaking belt was the centre of the Mughal empire with Delhi, Agra, Lucknow and so on.

Hindustanis looked down on Bengalis as inferior, less Muslim and less Pakistani and Altaf Hussain himself fought in 1971 against Bengalis in East Pakistan. (Hussain was a Pakistani military official and beyond the surface is still a military/ISI operative. Hussain was in the Baloch regiment) The Hindustanis alongside Punjabis were defeated in the 1971 war, a painful defeat and humiliation which still burns them inside.

The Hindustani agenda was to recreate a neo-Mughalistan in north-west India, i.e. Pakistan. They would be the ruling class of this state. Urdu would be the national language and Karachi where they would reside would be the capital of this new Hindustani "Muslim" state.

This project however was shattered with the rise of Hindko-speaker Ayub Khan who transferred the capital to the north, Rawalpindi and then Islamabad and also political power to the Punjabi-Pathan dominated military. Punjabis since that time have ruled what was originally intended to be a Hindustani state in the same way the European Ashkenazim of Israel are the ruling elite in Israel. A Punjabistan was created.

Traditionally Hindustanis, in the absence of any local nationalism, as they were foreign to the soil, had no ethnic political parties and were strong centrists and were strong Jamat i Islami supporters. However they did endure discrimination, anti-Hindustani discrimination is a reality which cannot be denied. This is particularly ironic given that it is done on a community who are themselves racists and expect to be the ones dealing out racism to others. Anyway this helped bring about the MQM.

The Hindustani project for a Hindustani ruled Pakistan failed with Ayub Khan, it failed in East Pakistan (which was basically just an economic colony for West Pakistan, East Pakistan was a net exporter whilst the West was a net importer, the money of East Pakistan was syphoned to fund the west, Pakistan is built on the money of Bengalis) but instead a desire to create a Hindustani "Muslim" state rather than ending for once and for all, transformed into a desire to create a Hindustani Karachi.

This project however has essentially been destroyed, due to sheer demography and economics. Pashtuns in search of work are immigrating in to what is part of their own nation-state and the Hindustani agenda for "Jinnahpur" is an unachievable reality.

As Zalmiye has essentially pointed out correctly, the MQM realizes this and is thus upset, but there is nothing that it can do. Plus the Sindhis and Balochis also support the ANP in that they do not want to live as second-class citizens in a Hindustani run Karachi. Even Punjabis prefer Pakhtuns (whom many are even genetically related, with many Punjabis being racially Punjabized Pashtuns) to Indian Hindustanis.

However this also means failure for "Pathans" like Shehbaz Khan who openly admits that he "enjoys" and laughs at "Pathan" jokes. Because for a "Pathan", his wish is to see a Urduphone, Hindustani-culture orientated Pakistan. However with the ethnic parties getting stronger that is impossible and the preservation of Pashtun culture is now a reality.

The truth for Hindustanis is they must abandon their Hindustani nationalism and think of themselves as part of Sindh, maybe not even as ethnic Sindhis but as citizens of the province/state of Sindh working for its betterment and abandon their attitude of cultural superiority and their ideology of Hindustani supremacism (the same attitude their Hindu kinsmen have within India).

They were defeated in East Pakistan in 1971 and the Hindustanis there now are forgetting Urdu and speaking Bengali.

For the MQM, Shehbaz Khan, Pathans and others it is GAME OVER.

            Check mate.

Listen mate, currently in Pakistan no Mohajir is striving for Jinnah Pur or that bull****. Secondly as I'd already stated in my reply to Toramana's and Lewanay Zalmay's post that all the Mohajirs living in the city don't belong to MQM and some are really Anti-MQM and Anti-Altaf, and when I say Anti-Altaf I am not referring to the Haqiqee Group only.

If you have time to read my first post, that's exactly what I pointed out. If you will go into detail, the Sindhis don't support ANP at all, they are infact divided some support PPP and some support Nationalist parties like GA Sindh, the areas dominated by them include Safora Goth, Bakhtawar Goth and Rashdi Goth etc.
On the other hand if you look at the Baloch nation in Karachi they dominate one area of Karachi and that is Liyari and they totally support Pakistan Peoples Party.
Now why these both ethnic groups support ANP at times is the question? The answer is pretty simple they don't like MQM and hence use ANP against them and later when MQM sets on the fire both the Sindhis and Baloch will leave ANP alone, and forgot to write many Sindhis also support PML(F).

I exactly never heard the term Hindustani Nationalism in the past seven years I spent in Karachi daily reading the different newspapers and watching the TV. Coming to the point, Every body should leave their personal benefits aside and work for the betterment of the city only than the solution will be out there.

^ these guys have never been inside pakistan let alone karachi, its funny how they think they know situation better there. the fact of the matter is pashtuns, baloch, urduspeakers, sindhis etc.. all live side by side in karachi, when i went to school there, all my friends were either punjabies or pashtuns kids in the class, and never did i experience any racism from them, nor hardly there was any racist incident in school. Granted i never supported MQM, but still its not like regular people care much about the parties, its only segments of the society that support these political parties not everyone

This is where some of you miss the point entirely.

What would you have? A Forum where non-Pashtoons were excluded? That would mean that people like Karachi would be out. As a non-Pashtoon, if you think that you have a right to be here Karachi, then this welcome is also extended to Bengal_Tiger etc.

Also mocking the deaths of people in floods is distasteful. If I remember right, then this also occurred in Pakistan, not less than 12 months back.

Reality check. Pashtoons are not exclusively Afghan nationals or from Pakhtunkhwa. Whilst I would hope that we would collectively represent a uniform beneficial political interest that combines cultural pride with social emancipation, that is something to continue to work towards.

Right now, do not be surprised that Pashtoons can be American citizens, Afghan citizens, pro-religion, pro-American intervention, pro-India, pro-Pakistan and all of the reverse etc.

The one thing I will extend to Shehbaz is our collective sense of Pashtoon brotherhood. On the whole, he remains polite and fundamentally dignified in the Pashtoon sense. No, I don't agree with his politics vis-a-vis Karachi/Pakistan/"Pathan" labels, but a Pashtoon he is.

First, i am not mocking their death, you didn't understand what i said, i meant he should worry about the huge problems in Bangaldesh rather in a totally different country which he has nothing to do with. also i didn't say he doesn't have the right to be here. what i am saying is why does he talk about pakistan and karachi, as if he lives there???? he has nothing to do with pakistan or karachi. He is making fun and saying bad things about Shehbaz Khan, a guy who lives in karachi and knows the situation better then anyone here. I think he should stick to this own problems first
