U.S-Pakistan relations at turning point: Clinton

The United States is suspending some $800 million in military aid to Pakistan amid increased tensions between the two countries since the raid that killed al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.
U.S. President Barack Obama's chief of staff William Daley confirmed the move in a Sunday television interview, saying his country's relationship with Pakistan is "difficult" and must be made "to work over time."
"Until we get through these difficulties, we will hold back some of the money that the American taxpayers have committed to give them," Daley told ABC's This Week.
Pakistan receives some $1.3 billion from the United States in aid every year. But the New York Times reported senior U.S. officials as saying the Obama administration is upset with Pakistan for expelling American military trainers and wants tougher action against the Taliban and others fighting American soldiers in Afghanistan.
Pakistan has been widely criticized by U.S. military and intelligence officials for not being fully committed to weeding out extremists.
The mistrust is so great that U.S. operatives did not inform Pakistani authorities about the May 2 mission deep into Pakistani territory that killed bin Laden, the world's most wanted man for his role in orchestrating the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks.

it seems to becoming clearer what exactly has happened

The "border" raids were meant to stoke tension.

The main goal of these raids was to force Pakistan to conduct an operation (full-scale war) against Pashtuns from Pakistan side. They have continually asked for this, and Pakistan has refused, again, not because they love Pashtuns, but because it is and will never be in their interest.

      So basically, this attempt failed.

Continuing to be a slave appears to be too costly for Pakistan now.

but they have already been conducting operations in the area prior to the border attacks, attacks which the paki taliban have taken credit for.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

the US diplomate says this $800 million is only a portion of the amount paid to the Paki military. i wonder what will happen once all the aid is suspended.

The same thing will happen when the Soviet Union collapsed and the Aid to the Najib government stopped. The Army will split and a civil war will erupt. All the US cares about is the Nukes which is not a threat to the US itself but a threat to US economic interests.
