PESHAWAR: President Pakistan Mazdoor Kissan Party Afzal Shah Khamoosh during a press conference at Peshawar Press Club on Tuesday said that a war to capture natural resources had been started in the region by US and its allied states, and the aggression could only be averted if all the nations of the world get united on one platform against them. Afzal Shah said that he would raise voice for Pakhtuns who were badly affected in the war against terror in the meeting scheduled on July 2 in Manila, Philippine’s capital, in which some three hundred left wings parties would be participating to draft proposals and suggestions to end US aggression in the region to capture natural resources. He said that he was invited to attend the meeting which would be also attended by European and Asian states besides political figures from Palestine. He added that the ten-year old war which was started in the name of war against terror had ruined the Pakhtun community on both sides of the border, adding, he would give a detail briefing on the economic and cultural impacts of the war on Pakhtun society and would try to highlight their genocides. ”Many hands are involved to disrupt peace process in Pakistan and Afghanistan after 9/11. I will surface the role and ambitions of all the secret agencies regarding their national interests and desire to capture the unexploited natural resources in Afghanistan and central Asian countries in the ten-day meeting in Philippine”, he intended.”The Pakhtuns are peace loving and hard work people and they do not like war but unfortunately, our leaders have not highlighted their real picture in the world community because of some personal interest”, he observed.
