  • the brave taleban using 8 years old girl as suicide bomber

Of the many desperate, sadistic tactics deployed by insurgents in Afghanistan, this is surely among the worst ever recorded: Authorities say that an 8-year-old girl was tricked into carrying a concealed bomb close to a police vehicle, where it was remotely detonated, the Associated Press reports. Only she died.

The incident occurred in a remote village called Uwshi, in the Charchino District, said Fazal Ahmad Shirzad, the police chief of Uruzguan Province.

Shirzad told the New York Times he believes that the girl was completely unaware that the bag that she had been given by Taliban insurgents held a bomb.

    CBSNews.com special report: Afghanistan
The sad tale of the girl allegedly tricked into blowing herself up is a sober reminder for President Obama and an American public eager to pull troops out of the region that not only is it still incredibly violent there, but whatever is motivating the violence of the insurgents has led to increasingly desperate tactics that fall well outside the lines of what most of the world considers decent.

The insurgency has occasionally used children in its attacks, in an attempt to avoid detection, the AP reports.

It has been recorded many times that insurgent leaders rarely, if ever, volunteer themselves for suicide bombing missions, and their targets are increasingly becoming women and children bystanders.

A suicide car bomber attacked a health clinic in eastern Afghanistan as women and children lined up for maternity care and vaccinations on Saturday, killing at least 37 people, the Associated Press reports.

If they're not targeting women and children, insurgent leaders have increasingly been deploying women on their behalf in suicide attacks for years, even as they profess a desire to give women in the region the least amount of rights of just about anywhere on Earth.

Right around the same time in Pakistan as the attack on the health clinic in Afghanistan, a married couple acting on behalf of the Pakistan Taliban attacked a police station, killing 10 people, The Guardian reports. They disguised themselves in burqas to enter the police station with little scrutiny, then opened fire with guns and grenades in what led to a five-hour siege, all before blowing themselves up.

You will find out that Blackwater(foreign spies) were behind this as they were behind the hospital blast, seeing as Taliban denied involvement, and it only takes common sense to put the puzzle together. This propaganda campaign which is an insult to Afghan people will continue to fail, and nothing will paint a victory out of a defeat (all the Western and Eastern intellects are saying this).

first they need to change their name from talibs to something else. then they need to hand out uniforms and write down every one's name who has joined their army or want to represent them or fight whoever with them. otherwise, talibs are of no use to afghanistan and afghanistan of no use to talibs. people are looting each other and killing random people in their name and there is nothing they can do about it. it's pointless and frustrating to watch.

the ISI has committed such terrible crimes like slaughtering innocent people blowing up hospitals, schools, mosques, targetting those who raise their voices against pakies. all those crimes committed by ISI under the name of taliban. like de zahro jam has said taliban should change their name. the name taliban is associated with the ISI.

Taliban have done some very low and underhanded acts, but this is too low even for the Taliban to engage in and also inconsistent with the cultural values most Taliban possess.

However if most of us remember or have any investigation into the chronicles of The Vietnam War; these tactics of planting bombs on children to fight the Viet-Kong were widely employed by U.S. Soldiers as message carriers

                lets see what unfolds

Actually people's memory is very short. They forget who started suicide bombing first and who did the most ? But unfortunately that time, there was no media to show those brutalities of the US and others'.

I believe they would consider that only when they are fighting on a even level field with NATO. Right now NATO has the high tech weapon advantage the Taliban can not match, so they have to adapt. If you are facing an opponent with a gun and you have none, you have to hide and try to ambush your opponent. Human being are generally rational, so if you are advising them to do something irrational, they will laugh at you.

That's the problem with many of these news sources and much of the reporting; The U.S. has control/monopoly over what information gets out, so pretty much most of what we know or learn is filtered or propagated through them. We can never know if they have ever or do they ever do these things from an official source, only external sources which are discredited as "hear say"l it becomes their word against everyone elses, and hence live above the law and with impunity.

what is the point then?? if they are causing more misery to their own people then why bother with the war in the first place? war is not a dinner party. even levels exist in fair competitions not wars. there is nothing fair about a war. there is also no point to fighting a war one is not serious about.

Your right, there is nothing fair about war. Rules are made and both parties break those rules. Violent conflict arises in humanity when a party or group is marginalized, when a party's rights are infringed upon. Sometimes Man would rather take misery over slavery. Sometimes Man chooses death over slavery. Once Man has tasted freedom then to exist for the servitude of others is unacceptable.

Heres how Thomas Jefferson answered your question:

I prefer dangerous freedom over peaceful slavery (Quotation) « Thomas Jefferson
I prefer dangerous freedom over peaceful slavery

This is actually a translation of a Latin phrase that Thomas Jefferson used: Malo periculosam, libertatem quam quietam servitutem. It has also been translated as, "I prefer the tumult of liberty to the quiet of servitude."

Here is the sentence in context:
"Societies exist under three forms sufficiently distinguishable. 1. Without government, as among our Indians. 2. Under governments wherein the will of every one has a just influence, as is the case in England in a slight degree, and in our states in a great one. 3. Under governments of force: as is the case in all other monarchies and in most of the other republics. To have an idea of the curse of existence under these last, they must be seen. It is a government of wolves over sheep. It is a problem, not clear in my mind, that the 1st. condition is not the best. But I believe it to be inconsistent with any great degree of population. The second state has a great deal of good in it. The mass of mankind under that enjoys a precious degree of liberty and happiness. It has it's evils too: the principal of which is the turbulence to which it is subject. But weigh this against the oppressions of monarchy, and it becomes nothing. Malo periculosam, libertatem quam quietam servitutem. Even this evil is productive of good. It prevents the degeneracy of government, and nourishes a general attention to the public affairs. I hold it that a little rebellion now and then is a good thing, and as necessary in the political world as storms in the physical." - Jefferson to James Madison, January 30, 1787[1]

couldn't be the answer to my question as i haven't suggested that the talibs sit down and be slaves to anyone. you are not happy about taliban not have the technology that nato is provided with. whose fault is that? this dangerous freedom fought for like this has no future. eventually there would be nothing left for them to fight for. that should not be the objective of a war. if afghans weren't so busy fighting meaningless wars, it wouldn't be dependent on others. there wouldn't be any need for the current war.
                              i didn't say don't fight, i said be a clever fighter.
