  • Mustafa zaher

Word on the streets is, Karzais keeping the chair warm till 2014 when Mustafa Zaher is going to take over. Hes being groomed.

Dont let the Royal lineage fool you. (primarily because the Royals were useless). I doubt he speaks Pashto and his political affiliation with the NA is known.

Dont be bamboozled brothers. Do any of you have insights, opinions and information on him? Lets share in this thread.

If he comes from the offspring of Sultan Muhammad Telai (aka Telai Bibi) who sold the NWFP to the Rao Singh, then he must be useless. Just ask Azmal, he supposedly comes from the same donkey loins.

He'd probably serve the same symbolic role his grandfather did.
If it would help united the people then why not?
Even Zahir Shah wasn't fluent in his native pashto but the people of pakhtunkhwa, when polled in the 90's, were in favour of him as a possible leader.

Royals are useless, warlords/commanders are useless, technocrates are useless ...so who would you like to see in the chair? Yourself?

Would you have been more inclined to welcomed him if the former King of Afghanistan lived in a little shabby hut in Somalia with a fishing boat?

There are 4 + million Afghans in exile, I am sure more Afghans are living in a much more plush and luxurious mansion than Zahir did...so your kind of asinine arguments makes little sense to me.

We mean to talk about possible candidates for running Afghanistan TODAY....so who else then? Another politician? royality is easier to recognize in Afghanistan ...even karzai is a royalist. I just think its an easier transition...it wouldn't look right for karzai to be president again especially after how farcically the last election was carried out. He just might get the job.

actually the guy took Afghan money and ran with it.

to hell with royals(such as zahri).what have they ever done for Afghanistan except for sleeping with numerous women and living a lavish life while acting as if their **** doesnt stink.

            possible candidates?
i wouldnt mind making Mullah Mohammad Omar the supreme leader and having patriots such as Daud Miraki ,sarwar ahmadzai, and intellectuals for running other sectors of the government.I would than also ask all the Afghan in foreign countries to go back and be part of the new Afghanistan and use their new found knowledge for the betterment of the country.

                and how do you qualify?

If you are going to say bloodline than Mustafa Zahir is more legitimate.

Other than that I don't know of any other merits that you posses that he doesn't...besides your charm (of course) .

If you make the argument that Mustafa has spent more time outside Afghanistan than in it, then the same would go for you too...really you are no different than him if you think about it.

And I suppose by "not yet" you mean not until 2020 ...so its ok if he keeps the chair warm for you from 2014 to 2020...you shouldn't have any objection to that now. Besides, it would make it easier for you...

                  Mullah Omar?

                  Surely you jest.

Even Omar himself knows he is not up to the job...you might as well give it to the Saudies and the Pakistanies...because that is what he did back then. Omar does not have leadership qualities...he is more of a follower and never makes the big decisions himself. He is not Umar ibn Khattab (ra) to take the reigns and do it with confidence in his own judgment. Besides in an administration run by Omar...I hardly doubt that B.A's and M.D's and Ph.Ds would mean much so you can forget about "intellectuals" running the affairs...more likely they would turn to bureaucrats. Then once you have the department of Vice and Virtue up and running again...you can forget about Afghans returning to Afghanistan to "share" their knowledge and skills.

                  been there...done that.

                    sure sure

how is it working for iran?
dont they have a supreme leader and the country is doign just fine.

i guess you would be satisfied when you have sex tourism in Afghanistan.
well BA MD PhD will work even better in Afghanistan under such circumstances but some folk with high degrees have the tendency to have a glass of whisky every night so they sacrifice their country for that bottle they can get elsewhere.
Saudis?Pakis? are you somehow into conspiracy theories my friend?
or is the pro shiasm kicking iin again?
LOL and that fagface zaher is?
well intellectuals might not have another choice ,cuz they cant erase islam from afghanistan and these people such as omar represent majority of the country so we all need to recognise that.

like i said those Afghans that wont want to return dont give a **** about their country and are addicted to their usual amount of liquor.
so what is your beef with conservative Afghans?

Ill tell u exactly how i qualify. Im a pashtun. But im not a durranai or ghiljai. Im a kakar, which makes me a perfect counter balance to the tribal rivals.

I dont come from the three biggest pakhtun areas (qandahar, paktia or jalalabad) rather from Ghazni. Again a good balancing act between all interests

Im a full blooded sunni pakhtun with shia herati inlaws.

I spoke against the war and foreign occupation but im a khariji.

I never made any money during the post 2001 goldrush

                      My family has no enemies

Im a western educated khariji but im come from a rural village background.

My family back home like many pashtuns have many Tribal And Linguistic Interconnections with Brothers

We have no affiliation with the royalists communists or mujahideen

Actually ure quite right. Some stability before the power transitions to me would be in my best interest. I hereby endorse mustafa zaher for president.

lol @ mullah omar, a guy who ruled the country for 6 years whos citizens have no idea what he looks or sounds like. pass

as for mr zaher, that lineage was useless in the past and even more so now.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

we should import a leader from Malaysia; then everyone will have no reason to groan.
