  • stability on natos terms u idiot. they took out the taliban government in 2 weeks with air strikes and have occupied the country for nearly 10 years to try to create stability under that idiot, karzai, in order to make afghanistan a client state. its called an investment.

and how is it foolish to think talks are going on? they have been confirmed by people far more intelligent than u such as ahmad rashid, not to mention one of the articles that u posted WITH UR BOLD FONT HIGHLIGHTED THE FACT.

There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

    • Even If there is stability in Afghanistan, the US will remain in Afghanistan, especially in Kandahar and Kabul. Whoever thinks the US will leave Afghanistan alone is high on C02.

I think this is wishful thinking on your part.

America does not have the money to keep sustaining having deaths everyday. They are in debt to China, and China has said they will sell their debt.

They obviously want to stay, but thats not happening since its the war has failed.

            • There's a reason why Afghanistan does not want to retaliate. Many, perhaps composite of issues are at hand and a retaliation might scupper things; this from reconciliation to the way the war is being waged and the pressure that Pakistan is facing from U.S.. Obviously it would suite Pakistan that Afghanistan retaliate and spoil things. The issue is political and need be dealth with politically. May be it has nothing to do with being brave or coward, but being prudent and sagacious with national interest served best. This very act of Pakistan is cowardice to attack villagers, what would Afghanistan gain from killing Pashtuns in particular at this juncture on the the other side of Durand? I can't think of much in any real value. Afghanistan can wait and hit back when it wants at the real culprits.

Afghanistan has provent that it can retaliate against Pakistan. Remember at the border between Paktia and Waziristan when Paki soldiers were errecting fences, the Afghan army killed the Paki sardines and brought the fences with them and destroyed some Paki posts. Where were the nukes and missiles then?

Fk Pakis, fk Unknownprince, Loopy, graver the monkey etc.

Afghans can kill many Pakistani soldiers but they cant afford full fledged war against Pakistan.
Afghanistan should seek help from India.

Actually it is Pakistan that can not afford a war with Afghanistan. Afghanistan is already destroyed, it has nothing to lose. Pakistan on the other hand has everything to lose. I doubt a war will happen, but hypothetically speaking, if it does, it would be America pulling the strings on both sides of the Pakistani border and inside Pakistan itself. It will implode within itself.

Residents in Kunar province on Tuesday rallied to protest government taking a silence position against Pakistani border shelling that is continued for nearly a month.

Rally organisers warned that they will intensify their demonstrations and may even attack Pakistan if the government fails to stop Pakistani missile attacks.

Demonstrators were shouting anti-Pakistani slogans and crying "down with Pakistan" and why our children are being killed.

"We want President Karzai to end this and we will directly seek revenge from Pakistan for the bloodshed it is causing," a Kunar resident said.

Border provinces, including Kunar, Nangarhar, Khost and Paktia have been under heavy Pakistan missile attacks for nearly a month that have left more than dozens dead, maimed and displaced.

But Afghan President Hamid Karzai on Tuesday said at a press conference that Afghan government will never allow security forces to retaliate Pakistani missile attacks.

Talks are in progress with Pakistani officials over the issue and we don't want to kill innocent people living on the other side of borders by launching counterattacks, Karzai said.

"We hope that Pakistan is not provoked by any side to attack Afghanistan, and I hope our people are patient and do not decide emotionally and do anything to hurt our friendly relations," Karzai said.

Pakistan has been blamed for the recent missile attacks into Afghan territory, but Pakistan's government has denied that its forces are involved in the attacks.
