Attacking Pakistan would be a good national strategy for Afghanistan.

Historically nation states have become more united when they have had an "other" to unite against and put aside their own internal differences for. The same would happen in Afghaninstan...all the ethnic differences would be set aside for a more clear and obvious confrontation against a known and visible threat as oppose to the current confusion with so called "insurgency/terrorists" and the hidden, disguised and masquerading enemies of Afghans. A total war against Pakistan is long over due as well since many of Afghanistan's previous leaders...najib e gow, masood, daud khan etc have expressed their suspicion and enmity towards our double-faced neighbours.
Furthermore it would once and for all push the pashtuns in Pakistan to take up a side and stop sitting on the fence (literally).

I wish they did it... a ridiculously brave leader would go for it. The Americans are already waging a covert war on Pakistan to get joint control of their nukes so they would probably play stupid, ignorant and inept (as usual)...their thinktanks would probably even welcome it since it goes along their over all plan. What do Afghans have to lose anyway but most to gain...
