Interview with taliban commander from Kunduz (Tolo news pukhto)
He is genuine and I don't think his eyes are shifty.
He has come forth as a middle-man to hasten the peace process. Obviously, he is obliged to have to make certain denouncements regarding past "mistakes" and so forth due to his nature as a middle-man.
His intentions are in the right place and his main objective is to push for a peaceful resolution to the conflict. Him and people similar are acting, in my belief, under the full permission of their leadership.
Wasalam.
I just dislike his ambiance entirely.
There HAVE to be better negotiators / intermediaries than he, I would think myself.
I doubt myself that he will do much. Maybe a lot of talk but
with what result ?
You think he is sanctioned by the leaders to take such a public role ?
What is his past ? What are his qualifications/
Why would he be given a blessing from them to proceed with this
tricky and delicate process - if in fact it really is underway.

Salamualaikum Catya khor,
He was a Taliban shadow governor of Qunduz. He laid down his weapons recently in order to join the peace process. He has excellent speaking skills and is very clever, in my opinion. He is not all talk... What he is doing now is crucial as he rebukes the segment of Afghans who try to speak out against peace with the Taliban, in favor of prolonged war and bloodshed. The type of Afghans that could careless about mayhem which they consider as merely in their backyard. He is working hard as a middleman in order to encourage a quick and peaceful resolution with the Taliban so that those certain "afghans" do not succeed in swaying public opinion in the negative direction. If the Taliban instead kept quiet, and desisted from engaging with the media and stakeholders to the conflict, their enemies would take advantage and work towards hampering a quick and peaceful end. The recent hospital bombing in Logar was, according to the opinion, of many an act carried out by those who wish to defame the Taliban and escalate doubts and tensions against them.
peace and stability must be the ultimate endgame in afghanistan. the people who try to prolong the conflict, be they american, na, or taliban, are anti afghanistan. peace and stability not at any costs, as the mujahadin could of stopped fighting in the 80s and had peace under russian domination which obviously would of been detrimental to afghans and their islamic faith . rather, peace under compromise. afghanistan and all the groups who claim to represent it have sunk too far into the sand to have sole leverage which is why compromise is necessary. afghanistan is dirt poor so we should not act like we can influence events based on pride alone while ignoring reality.
we don't even deserve leverage in this day and age as it has been our own people who have brought this mess upon us. we must change ourselves before we expect to see change from each other.
change is the key word here, imagine if the chinese from the opium wars had not changed a thing and remained token and poor. instead they changed their condition and are on a super power path and today make their former british foes look like ants.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.
