          Oh the irony...
O'faithful hearken thy vezir, for he promises them another Gandamak and for the ancestors of Hari Nalwa a similar fate has been sealed. We shall shake the foundations of their inner sanctums, written in gold and immortal will remain this endeavor of Afghans.

We can always cancel them in the future if you guys choose to do so. We can just say that those medals were faked by Karzai and as such the are not valid..!

the way I find it ironic is this is essentially Gates defeat tour before he retires, and while this is really annoying that he handed this fictitious medal, it is almost equally a slap on the face for Gates. I mean, when they go back and read about Wazir Akbar Khan, what will they think?

karzai is a president not a mother in law. he can't just turn his back to people he doesn't like because they don't deserve this or that. government officials have to maintain a professional relationship with each other regardless of the differences between them. stop acting so immature for a change. just because he gave the guy an award doesn't mean he adores him. it's politics damn it.

What more does one expect from an effeminate oligarch that fled his country in its time of need?

Its fascinating that not less than a few days before he was trumpeting up how he would somehow lead an insurgency, were Mr Gates's military's action be seen as an occupation. Oh how quick does the puppet recall the red, white, and blue hand that is thrust into its anus.

Karzai Bibi is basically representative of a that large group of people that

                          1) left the common man to fight the Russian juggernaut (e.g. Zahir Shah, Pir Gilani, etc)
                          2) Beat his chest regarding the bravery of the Afghan, when had no claim to it, since fleeing the battle field does little to claim one as a representative sample point.
                          3) when questioned regarding why he was not on the front lines as the founding fathers of other nations were... he quickly hides behind the ruse of Najib's fall being hastened by American trickery and how the war was not his to fight... riiiiiiiight. Sure Karzai Bibi, we will somehow enter your warped world of reconciling not fighting an occupier force with your claim to being a "mujahid" in the early days of your administration. Remember? You claimed you collected money and guns for them?
                          4) Returned to "power" on the back of the American Empire.
                          5) Demonstrated gross laziness and incompetence at every step. Mind you, these folks are generally failures in any technical field in the West. They are pretty much returning to kabul in the droves in order to suit their rather large inferiority complex. Basically, they, like Kipling, want to teach their little brown brother civility. Most of the times, these folks, like Mr. Karzai, get degrees in political science or history and would be selling pizzas in the West as a result of not being able to do anything useful.

What does it all boil down to? He's a fake president without any real power except prancing around kabul in his green cape, earning the accolades of Tom Gucci, while getting high on anti depressants.

"Despite Mr Karzai's threat of unilateral action against Nato forces if airstrikes continue, military analysts said Nato troops were in Afghanistan under a United Nations mandate, which does not give the Afghan government authority to outlaw strikes."
