  • Buddhism once again growing in Afghanistan

I've been hearing from ASG/ANA that Buddhism is once again growing in Afghanistan and is being practiced in provinces mainly to the south.

    Interesting trend!

Buddhism structures and figurines are now sold in the Sharana and Kandahar Bazaars and in many homes. I now have a buddhism figure that folds out into 3 people praying like the buddha.

Not wanting to become Muslim anymore. Your acts define you. The minute I got here the Arabs were throwing rusty daggers in my direction.

Let me guess you do not want to moce to Afghanistan either? Another bs.

I think you played to many FPS games, GI Joe. It seems the whole Armed Services are made up of gamers, and people who were picked on in High School.

What are the reasons for your accusations? LOL. Because Afghans kill Afghan Taliban now with not as much as a word to NATO?

What that is?? I am sure people are buying it cause I bought it. I am a big fan of Afghan Buddha and I am a muslim alhamduallah I do my prayers all the time. I have it in my home. Once an older uncle came when I first bought it, few weeks passed it was sitting high near TV towards "Qibla" and so he said I can't pray in this room since its towards Qibla I told him we don't pray here anyways since TV is on all the time. But he also suggested it would be wise to removed it and put it somewhere else not to the center or the edge of prayer direction. I respected his views and so I removed it from big living room and brought it to the small living room. Now this was a minor issue but the point that we know we can't even pray towards any Qibla if our attantion or our eyes are going to fall into any sort of picture, buddha, joy or entertainment.

Just because people are buying it and love to have in their home as a symbol of historical even or identity, does not mean they will become "Kafir" or start practicing. That is just too extrem and harsh and is the reason why some people still don't like Taliban.

Budha might have not liked Mdresden.
matter of fact he would have slapped him on the face for preaching idolatory and being part of an occupation Afghanistan.

I am a big fan of archealogy, history and artifects, come to my home and you will know, but at the same time I have historical "copy" swords of Al Rashiden as well as others. I know people who carries all sort of figures, Buddha is just a face and represents our history. I am proud to have it but if its going to harm my religion Islam, i will garbage it. But again it all comes down what it means to you. The 5 feet status for some just another BS, and rock/stone and for some its worth more than 50 Kg of gold, and for some its priceless if it was real (lol now I wish I get my hands on some real stuff)

                        lol @ this bs
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

I also notice a surge in American/NATO deaths in Afghanistan, maybe the Buddhists have something to do with it?

The ANA are willing to kill anyone who's taliban be they sunni, shi'ite, pashtun, muslim or pakistani. Good on them.
