there was a really nice interview of some Dalit from southIndia who came to america and became a doctor. In the interview he said how horrifically he and his family were treated in India when he was a child. Infact, he showed passages from some hindu holy book which described how horrible dalits are suppose to be treated according to the holy scriptures

also Modi and others who killed should be punished, dont you agree with that? why are they roaming free and infact respected by many hindu nationalists?

India might be a growing country (economically) I am not denying that. but the minorities over there are treated really horrible, infact i would say muslims have it easier then Dalits, if not muslims, atleast talk about Dalits(low castes) how they are treated. The horrible racist caste system is still very much alive outside main cities.

now as for your post regarding minority & race subject but indian muslims are doing just fine the supreme court suspending the pro-hindu verdits of the high court regarding babri mosque is an eg as for dalits yes iagree there is are issue's but it is also to be noted that these subjects are also being adressed along with poverty rather slowly but none the less people are coming out against it thats a positive sign even pakistan has its share of racist issues like the so-called marshal race( mix of fair tall greeks, arab,turks afghans persians & what not) theories thinking bengalis as short dark weak inferior ,same line of mindset also exist regarding dravidian's another racist theory is the syed family people are higher etc's plus the minorities in pakistan are also treated quiet bad also so india is not the only country
