One should ask, why couldn't and still cannot they i.e. the Punjabi-Mahajar ruling classes trust them ? Not just them, Punjabis couldn't even trust Shiekh Mujib, Maulavi Fazli Haq, Bhutto, Benazir, etc (and now Zardari). That amply explains the reality of Pakistan as a nation.

Toramana i have alot of respect for you for sticking up for Pashtuns even though i might not agree with you on everything, escially what you would deem cultural progress.

atleast you want pashtuns to have self respect and self esteem instead of being under the rule of punjab.

Bacha Khan and other leaders (Bangalis, Baluchis, Sindhis, etc.) took an oath to a concept of Pakistan that would be according to the spirit of 1940 resolution i.e., a confederal state with constituent units autonomous and fully able to preserve their identity and cultures. Bacha Khan went one step ahead and mentioned a united Pashtun province withing Pakistani confederation.

What followed was one unit and torture and incarceration and denial of rights to Bangalis, Baluchis, and Pashtuns. Bangalis broke away from the oath. Baluchis are on the way. Sixty plus years of betrayels proves that they oath no longer holds.

And as I said, tactical moves and decisions are an integral part of nationalist politics..Watch the clip again, when Asfandiyar says where is Pakistani nation....the bond is very tenous as well as the oath only sustained by a Punjabi heavy army that has declared itself to be the defender of Pakistan's ideological and geographical frontiers...

He didn't, especially after Pakistan actually came into being, he didn't. But tell me, why do I fail to find just one Pakistan who is willing to believe the truth? Why does literally every Pakistani who speaks about him think ANP are Afghans who are there to create trouble in Pakistan? No need to answer me why, ask this at Pakistani forums where the truth about Badshah Khan is much more needed to be revealed than amongst people who already know what he meant!

With 'they' didn't trust 'him' I am guessing (?) you are talking about Pakistan not trusting Badshah Khan? If yes then just because they didn't trust him with no valid reasons to give, it was right to jail him for years? And you expect Badshah Khan to even think of loyalty towards such a nation?

^Not only afghans, but kohistanis have also poor hygiene. During history taking we have to note these things.

^ Pakistani non-Pukhtoons (especially Punjabis and Mirpuris) don't even know the difference between cleanness and dirtiness, and you are speaking of hygiene? Funny guy.

Punjabis are economically sound people and they wear thin dresses so no hygienic issues.
But afghans wear winter clothes in hot summar of pakistan and do not consume much water. We advice to our afghan patients to take bath alot as personal hygiene is necessary for prevention from diseases.

^ You speak of an unhygienic place like Pakistan? Come to UK, namely Luton, and I will paint Pakistan's flag on my forehead if you don't find running mouses in Pakistani houses. And oh, after applying oil to their hair they only keep it for three days before washing off. That's it!

Keep your Punjo-lectures to yourself, in a country like UK your honeys can't remain clean and you speak of.......

Westren pakis and afghans are lot different from those of back home. Like i said beside afghans, all pakistanis of mountainous regions have also poor hygiene..afghans of plain areas would be saaf sutra

Absolutely wrong. The Siraiki people of Bhakar, Multan, Mianwali, etc. live in a dusty environment and are mostly poor and oppressed ...One can judge it from kind of their looks and weak physiques. I know this because I once travelled from Quetta to DI Khan via Multan...As I reached DI Khan, my throat was very soar due to dust.

In DI Khan, Multan, etc. you find those human-powered cycle-Rickshaws. I think all Pashtuns have very hygenic living and look more healthy and clenn than Siraikis or Punjabis.

Have you seen wazirs of hills? They have very very poor hygienic conditions especially their women. People of plain areas are otherwise
