It's also fairly clear who attends these talks on peace in the Hindu Kush. On the American side, representatives of the State Department and the CIA are taking part. At this stage, it is mid-ranking officials from the Obama administration who are involved -- a diplomatic ploy to play down the Taliban's importance.

The key figure on the Afghan side is described on the list of negotiators as a "relative" of Taliban leader Mullah Omar. This appears to refer to Tayyab Agha, a man in his mid-30s with a long, thin beard, who used to work as office manager for Mullah Omar when ...

NATO is desperate for peace with the Taliban that they are willing to believe any one that says they are for negotiating for the group. Why dont you work for the people instead of robbing them and then you dont need negotiations

Taliban will keep Taliban. Their negotiations will be fakes. The last time they send a non-Taliban and ordinery shop-keeper who introduced himself as Taliban speaker. They will never accept any negotiations with NATO or the government.

it would be hard to pass off as a fake when this guy has been on camera before in an official capacity.

There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.
