I don't care about Pakistan.
their Goverment, Cricket team, Hockey team all are rubbish.
The goverment is not spending money on the country or on its people but only themself.
Pakistan is finish...we don't need to hate it.
Few things in life are as black and white as that.
That said, Pakistan is an isolated country that has major issues with Afghanistan and India having close ties, Afghanistan and Iran having close ties and Iran and India having close ties. The question that dogs Pakistan is "Why?"

Are you Pakistani?
I was born there so yeah I guess [/quote:1vyzay7x]
So you are a Pakistani and you hate Pakistan? Do you consider yourself Afghan than?
The ruling powers in Pakistan need to both ask the question and answer that one.
It can't be great being part of a Pakistani diplomatic contingent and walking into a room of foreign diplomats knowing that everyone of them thinks that you're not serious about steering your country away from its terrorist factory image.
With an educational spend of less than 2% of the GDP, what do you expect.
Considering that Pakistan's neighbours - Iran and India have fairly impressive literacy drives (60% graduation rate in Iran, majority of whom are female) and that Afghanistan is making some serious and honest attempts at rectifying their educational deficit with so many projects up and down the country (I'm involved in one of those), one is bound to ask the question about Pakistan.

Sure, they have nice schools in Pakistan.
None of them are in Waziristan.
What is Afghanistan doing to improve its literacy rate?

It has a long way to go still, but at least there is the recognition that education is a universal right, whatever the province. Some places such as Kandahar are slightly more problematic because of conservatism/stability issues, but there are many NGO initiatives such as the Afghan Schools Project for one, which I've done some work for.
At the centre, Afghanistan is a poor country and this will take time, and considering the major issues the country has faced, the overall picture is one of emergent accessibility to initial education rather than a deeply embedded access.
Pakistan has had a longer period of stability to date and it is disappointing that the same belief of educational access has not stretched to all people. People are much more reliant on private schools (where available) in Pakistan. Shows how much government spending is invested in the state sector. This is a major contrast between Islamabad and Kabul.
I agree with most of you here regarding the corrupt and selfish government of Pakistan, but that doesn't mean every Pakistanis is like that. Now regarding Afghanistan and india, you see when the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan, india was fully supporting the Russians, and in fact there was indian intelligence presence in Afghanistan. India was secretly funding, supporting the terrorist organization BLA in Pakistan's Baluchistan province, india was once again playing the same game it played before during the 1971 war, they basically wanted to break away Baluchistan from Pakistan by supporting a separatist insurgency. So this is why we Pakistanis get worried when india comes into Afghanistan, we shouldn't forget that it was india who funded the terrorist group "Mukhti Bahini" in East Pakistan and then finally violated and crossed the international border of East Pakistan with its army.
So you tell me, how can we let this same enemy into Afghanistan? Especially when india funded BLA in 1980's? And this same india funded MQM criminals and thugs. Today BLA has once again been brought back from the dustbin of History ever since America allowed india into Afghanistan. Many sophisticated weaponry and communications devices have been captured from TTP and BLA insurgents, now where are they getting enough cash to buy all this? simple, their indian agents in Afghanistan have got them covered.
I have no problem with Afghans, your my brothers and sisters, but ever since Afghan governments in the past began to intervene in Indo-Pak conflict we had no choice but to resort to supporting groups such as Taliban.
Now regarding Iran, once again our problem with Iran is about regional strategic depth. Iran has helped india numerous times before, and even now they are a little doubtful of Pakistan. But Pakistan has been improving its relations with Iran lately, we helped them capture Jundullah leader and both nations are going to finalise the Iran-Pakistan-China oil pipeline.
Pakistan is trying its best to stabilize Afghanistan today, we want both Karzai, Northern Alliance, and Taliban to merge together and form a strong and friendly Afghanistan that will stay neutral in Pakistan-india conflict. We can't have a Afghanistan that the indians will use against us because this will force us to fight on two fronts, Afghanistan and on the other front india's million man army. We don't have resources and economy to fight such a war.
India doesn't care about Afghan blood, they only want to destroy Pakistan, heck while Pakistan was helping to negotiate peace between Taliban and Karzai, india was begging America to stay in Afghanistan for few more years and not negotiate with Taliban.
I hate India more then Pakistan!!.
CK members knows how much I hate India...I posted a cartoon picture of a kid Urinating on india's flag (Which I was very proud of)...I made that Picture aswell and if you wanna see it then Ask me.
Respected Sayyaf Khan - I detect a little hint of Pakistan-victim-mentality here. Can all the neighbours be so wrong?

Does that mean that Pakistan isn't currently or has never played a game? Afghanistan has always been toyed with by the powers around it, including Pakistan. Check out the Great Game.

But there has long been resentment in Balochistan - the various factions in Balochistan are almost united in there distrust of Islamabad. They simply look to India to support their cause.

The MQM was just as much homegrown as the Taleban. Search this Scribd document and look for General Zia (second reference in the document). You'll find that the MQM was promoted to break the rise of Sindhi nationalism.

Afghanistan upto and beyond President Daud fully supported Pashtoon national interests and did not recognised the Durand Line. Was it right for Pakistan to respond by behaving as if Afghanistan was a colony of the country?

Says it all - Iran, Afghanistan and India - all a "little doubtful". Can they be all wrong?

We have no problems with all our neighbors, only india. But you see when our neighbors poke their nose in our conflict then they get dragged in.

I never said that we never "played" with Afghanistan. Our meddling in Afghanistan's internal affairs was due to indian presence in Afghanistan after Soviet invasion, and not only that but also the threat of an Soviet invasion of Pakistan.

You can't blame everything on the Central Gov you know, not everyone is a Zardari or Nawaz Sharif. The Central gov can only do soo much, after that its the tribal leaders job to distribute money and jobs to the people of Balucistan, but when the Tribal Nawabs themselves take all the $$ for themselves you can't expect the gov to be blamed for that now can you?

Altaf Hussein of MQM is against the creation of Pakistan, so if Zia did support MQM, he did it before it became a violent terrorist organization.

Afghanistan was and never will be a "colony" of Pakistan, your our brothers and deserve respect, both of our countries have a long shared history and culture, but when you dream of breaking a part of your brother and taking it for yourself, you are only bringing animosity between your brotherhood and our enemies will take advantage of this.

The only problem we had with Iran was its support for india and Northern Alliance, other than that we never had any animosity for them, they helped us in 1965 war. Our nuclear scientists gave them nuke tech and no how to build weapons.
As for Afghanistan, as i said, after the Soviet invasion india brought its presence into Afghanistan, and this in turn provoked us to enter into Afghanistan, otherwise we wouldn't be there.
As for india, its been our enemy since partition. And not only is it our enemy, but its the enemy of every Muslim. We've fought 3 wars with them, we Pashtuns gave our blood for this country and Kashmir, why wouldn't india have a problem with us?
Now our other neighbor, also known as our all weather, time tested ally China, we never had any problem with them Alhamdulillah, and InshaAllah we never will!
But if you look at india, they have problems with everyone of their neighbors. They have problems and issues with Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, China, Nepal, Maldives, and other countries.
