It is a good development. And Iran may be doing this because there many Pashtuns who are Shias. If BBC, VOC, India, Russia, etc. which had Pashto language media and academic programs, how can Iran do that with an odd Pashto language center?

yea,there are some shai pashtun tribes but most pashtuns are suni muslims.If they realy want frienship with pashtuns then they should,nt interfare in religion at all.
There is pashtu radio based in zahedan iran run by a yousufzai pashtun name anwar shaheen khankhel of swabi.The man was abandon by his famly after he converted to shai islam.
The turi pashtuns converted after their leader on his way back from haj converted to shai islam in iraq tow centuries ago.
before that the turis were sunis.

there are around 100000 pashtu speaking iraian -pashtuns based in south khorasan province and one should go there and see how they treated by their fellow country men.They are very poor and lives in very bad situation.
They are not afghan refugees but iraian-pashtuns.
