  • AFGHAN MELLAT PARTY PASHTUN NATIONALIST PARTY Afghan Social Democratic Party

Friends I would like to discuss here Afghan Mellat Party. Its hoistory, current situation and futuristics of this Pashtun Nationalist Party. I wish if some members of this party or any one who knows this party well may share with us their first hand experiences and information.

It is said that that the party has been split into three factions; with one faction led by Shamsul huda shams, one by Hadad and the other by Mohammad Amin Wakman. It is Wakman faction that is currently led by Ahady , Afghanistan's Finance Minister , the son-in-law of the NIFA leader Pir Gailani.

Also that the Wakman party has toned down its Pashtun nationalist profile and sought support amongst non-Pashtuns.

    ANY UPDATES?????

An essentially racist and predominantly "ex" Marxist organization. I do apologize if that touches a few nerves but truth is best served cold, abit like icecream pudding.
O'faithful hearken thy vezir, for he promises them another Gandamak and for the ancestors of Hari Nalwa a similar fate has been sealed. We shall shake the foundations of their inner sanctums, written in gold and immortal will remain this endeavor of Afghans.

There is nothing wrong in being ex communist or even contemporary communist. They ar enot going to impose themselves on the Afghan Millat by callign themselves Afghan millat. They will have to democratically plead their case to the masses of Afghanistan unlike the parties in Pakistan who come into power with the " ASHIR BAAD" of GHQ.
Your comment of labelling them as racist is your subjective opinion. It will be against the laws of basic common sense and an ignorance of ABC of politics for a political party to be racist in a multiethnic society.I do not think Afghan Millat or any other party could be blamed to be stupid of the calibre as we have in Pakistan.

To the Political Parties in Afghanistan

Three things to be done on urgent basis by the political parties of Afghanistan:

            1) Have Web presence

            2) Project your Think Tanks

            3) Be present in the Media

There is alot wrong with being ex-communist and worst of all contemporary communist. Furthermore, common sense is very uncommon & I am well acquainted with the inner sanctums of Afghan Mellat. Amongst them there are people who are racist but those high up are neither racist nor Pashunist, they are simply power and money hungry individuals who play at the hands of the British and their friends with ambiguous nuclear policies.

Stupidity is everywhere, if this wasn't the case then surely a little infant (pakistan) would have not been able to play with the fate of a country which dates back 5000 years. If a little toddler can supercede his grand father as the power broke in central Asia, tell me who is stupid?

By labelling communists to be wrong you are probably assuming that the alternative forces that is the Islamists are good. You need to elaborate both these claims.

The corrupt elements in A.M or others ,as I said , will be slowly eliminated by the political process.

I was referring to the relative stupidity of the political parties however I agree with your concern. It is valid. In my opinion, though, it was due to the lack of institutionalisation in Afghanistan. If Pakistan played with the fate of Afghanistan it was through the institution of army.

Communism and Marxism-Leninism look good on paper, such ideologies are not practical and durable in Afghanistan. Earlier you stated "It will be against the laws of basic common sense and an ignorance of ABC of politics for a political party to be racist in a multiethnic society", the same applies to communism and Marxism in Afghanistan.

It is against the laws of basic common sense and an ignorance of ABC of politics to attempt imposing an essentially Godless and secular ideology in a land where 99% of the population are Muslims and not just sheepish Muslims that you get across our borders but Muslims who have sacrificed their all in the way of Islam.

I am not assuming that Islamist are good, I am reinforcing a fact, Islam is good and almost native to Afghanistan specifically amongst Pashtuns. One of the reasons why Pashtuns didn't resist against Islam was because Islam and Pashtunwali have alot in common.

Well I agree with the fact that Marxism - Leninism in their historic pure form is neither feasible nor practical for Afghanistan however I do not mind if a party introduces an Afghan version of scientific socialism and invite people to give them the opportunity to serve Afghanistan. I am for pluralism. Imposing a party or parties with monotonous ideas will not help Afghanistan head its way to a bright future.

The sacrifices of Afghans for Islam have been exercise in futility and their misuse of being a cannon fodder for imperialist forces of Greeks, Mongols, Moghuls, British, Americans and recently Punjabis have NOT done any good to them except pushing them 500 years back. They have done nothing productive for themselves by sacrificing themselves for Islam or by acccepting the role of scape goat. Hence this sacrificing business should stop. They should start sacrificing themselves only for their land, poeple, country and humanity at large.

Your sweeping statement of saying " Islam is good " is as ambiguous as saying communism is not good. I assume that you would know it for a fact that for 99 percent of Afghans Islam is nothing other than:

                      1) an exercise of body and tongue with crammed arabic sentences being repeated five times a day without knowing what they mean in the form of salat

                      2) an inability to win bread and butter in respectful manner and hence have a day long hunger strike in the form of fasting as a result of community pressure

                      3) wasting a lot of money on visiting some places at the cost of their self respect in their sacred land in hajj after earning the money through poppy cultivation or other unfair means.

                      4) Paying reverence to their prophet by growing beards without any change in their peadophilic habits.

What good is this Islam??? If there is any good thing in Islam then it was the social justice introduced in the city state of medina. How do you expect the people living in a semistone cum agrarian age to appreciate the institutionalised virtues like social justice when your people,90 percent of them, consider the individualistic practices of organised religion introduced by clergy to exploit masses,to be some emancipation in the hereafter. What good is this Islam if it has nothign to offer for the betterment of this world.[While you say it five times that " Rabanna atina fid DUNYA hasana wa fil Aakhirati hasana" in your prayers]

Hence ,allow me to conclude that, a pluralsitic approach [multi party system] with parties of versatile beleifs and religions ,pro religion and anti religion ,as long as they have a political solution to the ills of the society and country, should be given a chance to shape up the backward life of Afghans and bring them at par with the developed nations of the world.

Needless to say ,being a staunch advocate of science, that it is only science and technology which will help us sort out even these issues of staecraft and statemanship once we wiillingly accept science to be our guiding source instead of the miunderstandings of otherwise talented mullas who struggle to survive by choosing religion as their source of income.

P.S : We have already discussed about Islam and religion ,in quite some threads and you can have a critical look at them. I am of the opinion that religion whatever historic contributions it had to offer has already offered it mostly for the Arabs by strengthening and justifying their imperialism and is not able to offer solution to the problems of the contemporary age.

Afghan Mellat Party now talks of democracy and human rights and liberalism for Afghanistan. They dont recommend neither islamism nor Communism. You may see great speeches of Ahady on the AMP webiste given above by a friend.

Communism and Political Islam or religious Extremism are the other options but for Muslims generally and Pashtuns specially. I prefer the westren model of democracy , human rights, liberty, liberalism, utilitarianism. equalitarianism, egalitarianism, fundamental rights , all baisc freedoms like freedom of speech, modern education, development, scince and technology, economic prosperity, wealth in private hands, free market economy, competition, western dress, no confinement of women to homes, no child labour , rule of law, strong justice system, no discrimination etc etc

For Islam only its status as a religion can be maintaned which means only beliefs in supernatural entities, prophets etc,, worship and a kind of morality. Only Quran and only those Hadith which dont contradict Quran and reason are recommendable and interpretaion of Quran that it can be adjusted with modern times is the dire need of the time. islamic sufistic and spiritual elements are also worthy to be followed.

Communism is not at all to be considred which ignores the basic human instinct of private owner ship and believes only in utopias, barbarims, brutality and blood shed.

All other ideologies like Fascism, Nazism , Anarchism, extreme Conservatism, Rexism, Utashas, Zbor are equally not worthy to be considered like Communism and Political Islam and religious Extremism for Muslims and Pashtuns.

All this I recommend keeping in mind that Pashtunwali with its positive values should not be foresaken. Pashtunwali can remain our cultrure and Islam as a religion and spiritual system.

I dont understand that why we dont accept West as our model and why dont we leave all this stuff in shape of Religious extremism and other evils. Whats bad in learning from West.

All of us as indivisuals wish to be in developed countries of the west then why dont want the same west for our countries and our people?????
