What are your views on the ANP(Awami National Party)

Here are my views of the ANP

1) Useless Party, Not truely Nationalistic
2)Defends the Rights of Smaller Nations of PAKISTAN
3)Members with a long History of UnPashtun Activities such as broadcasting Porn in Peshawer etc
4) a inner hatred towards Tribals
5) Supports Pakistans Army
6)Fully supported the Swat operation to secure votes
7)Leader of the Party runs to Punjab to save himself
8)I dont see them complaining about ISI anymore as they did in the past
9)Making music videos with dancing women
10)All of a sudden, they blaime India for all the Militant Activities, but they use to accuse ISI of it( why the sudden change) I smell rupees!
11)No longer a Nationalist Party, more of a Typical Pakistan Political Party
12)On youtube, there is a video of all these ANP drunks listening to some Mojjahir girl sing in Urdu(Very Pashtun Nationalistic)
13)They speak of Pashtunwali/Pukhtunwali but promote laws that contradict it
14)Betrayed Faqir of IPI and refused to do a Armed struggle against Pakistan
15)Follow an Ideology that is inspired by a Hindu Gujarati called Ghandi
16)They are extremely biased people, they speak of oppression of swatis etc under miltiant rule but avoid speaking about the massacres that the Pakistan army have committed in the tribal areas
17)They make woman dance on their videos, very unpashtun
18)They are too weak to stand up to MQM
19)Recent Karachi Killings(May 2010) no strong condemation against MQM
20)Pashtuns were beaten in Hazara, and ANP proposed to follow usual ghandi Policy of not fighting back nor being strong and firm on Pashtun rights.
21)A party who is suppose to be NON violent Supporting Pakistan Army bombs to be dropped on Pashtuns, while strongly opposing Mirza Ali Khans fight for independance

its not diffirent than other pakki political party. The mullas robed the pakis now its the time to be robed under nationalism. when they on the stage to speak to common afghan(pashtun), or when they are in afghanistan, they say what we want to hear, but do what ever pandjabi tells them.

well friends.. i accept that ANP has lost its prestige....bcoz selfish people are entering and the devoted workers are departing....but still i will support ANP they give us identity by renaming the province....and is the only political party struggling for pakhtun rights (at least by name) Moreover ANP has given many sacrifices in the recent decades......they openly condemn the terrorist activities and the so called barbarism by Taliban....it is to be noted that no other party in Pakistan has opposed Taliban...it is wrong that they follow Gandhi ideology...they follow the doctrine of Great Pakhtun leader Bacha khan ...and bacha khan was a unique pakhtun leader...
ANP is gaining their rights step by step....now they are going to change the Text of Textbooks...that is along with Mr. Jinnah Ghani Khan, Bacha Khan, Hamza Baba etc will be taught in schools......
Dear Khushal khan Khattak for your kind info ANP has strongly condemned MQP for Karachi riots...and has warned to leave the govt in Sindh...so please stop watching PTV Khabarnam....
Who say they have been beaten in Hazara...infact Hazara waal are being beaten there morally and politically...they ignored their demand of Hazara pakhtunkhwa...and now they are making Abaseen district there...
On the whole there are always good and bad people in each organisation and every party......and in politics there comes many ups and downs in political parties......ANP is doing well as compared to any other poltical party in Pakistan......they have least corrupt leaders as compared to other parties....
just compare and contrast....

Bacha Khans approach to winning Pashtuns freedom was wrong and has not benefitted pashtuns at all. He opposed those who truely wanted freedom and adopted Ghandi Style politics which suited more to Hindus who had billion of people to waste and sit down.

If he adapted a more Pashtun oritinated struggle, whereby we fight till last drop of blood and be firm, then we wont be begging Nawaz sharif and Punjab to atleast Accept calling us Khyber Pakhtunkhwa citizens.

ANP is still a political and Pashtun nationalist party and is in power. They are ruling Khyber Pashtunkhwah. They have to adopt some time real politik and where masny of us criticize ANP. Still its predominantly a Pashtun nationalist Party althu ideologically not better than PMAP but in terms of realism is a successful party and has achieved lot of things for Pashtuns.

I wish the ideology of PMAP and the politics of ANP may merge and then Pashtuns in Pakistan will be represented in a superb way.

I wonder do we have any Pashtun nationalist political parties in Afghanistan? I being away from home for many years can any one update me is there any Pashtun nationaliust party in Afghanistan? And why ANP and PMAP of Pakistan dont open their branches in Afghanistan?

To counter terrorism and extremism Pashtuns must have nationalist political parties and I prefer a moribund ANP to any extremist group of bandits like Taliban.

ANP is not as bad as reflected. It is the only voice against any anti-pashtun force. ANP is no way an armed force to fight agiuanst USSR or against Pakistani army to win independence. It is a politicla organization and it is the party warned Pashtoon well in time not to be involved in the Fassad-e-Afghanistan. It is the only party awakened Pashtoons well in time agianst any activity. But the problems can be that they did not conveyed the message well, or their message was not allowed to be conveyed, or their message was sabotaged by religious voices. However, this credit goes to ANP that they warned pashtoons well in time always. This is the life of ANP, and this is the job of politicla party to bring awareness. Not to fight with weapons. If any time ANP claims to be an armed force and fighting on a front helping non-pashtuns, then it can be blamed.
