If ANP are so concerned and Anti Taliban, then why beg a Punjabi Army officer to harass and kill Swatis and Pashtuns of Waziristan.

Its clear Hipocrasy. If ANP are so brave and real Pashtuns, then they should build a Red cap Lashkar and drive out the Taliban and establish a pure Nationalistic movement for the betterment for all Pashtuns.

ANP did many mistakes and kept clinging to some flawed ideas for too long.

In my personal opinion its time ANP should come in mainstream politics and should strive for strong vote bank in all parts of Pakistan.

ANP can never in the main stream. It is very easy to be claled traitor by Pkaistani media and Punjab absed politicians and pakistani army. Pakistani army and ANP can never accept each other.

And that's where the problem lies. The ANP, by its very existence, alienates non-Pashtuns (even those with proxy claims to Pashtun ancestries). On the other hand, with its rampant corruption, indifference to the suffering of Pashtuns, lack of interest on Pashtun reunification, inability to defend Pashtuns anywhere in Pakistan and due to many more reasons, the ANP has also alienated a substantial number of real Pashtun nationalists.

Make no mistake though, there are still some good people in ANP but the top leadership is not only utterly corrupt but also as selfish as it is inept. I would be surprised if the ANP wins even half the seats it has today in the next elections.

Malgariya, I am no fan of ANP either, but we need to be reasonable here. We should oppose ANP and it's policies for the right reasons and provide an alternative course of action rather than going for the usual 'Hindu agent' or 'Racist' propaganda.

I suppose to call for an overhaul of the ANP's top brass would be too naive. I honestly wish I knew what should be done. Perhaps someone like Pir_Rokhan can shed some more light on the matter.

It's interesting that you mention the 'Indian' connection, by the way. You know, in order to dispel that, the ANP has watered down a lot of its older rhetoric. Even then, the Punjabis are not pleased. The ANP are considered traitors - and the worst sort, mind you - the sort that help Indians.

And their non-violent policy is a big lie. They conducted terrorist attacks against Afghan refugees and mujahedeen in the 80's. They use to get money and weapons from Russians and their communist counterparts in Afghanistan to blow things up and cause chaos and dispair in refugee camps in Peshawar.

This is the attitude, which destroyed the whole Pashtuns. What the other people did for Pashtuns? ANP did not do anything to Afghanistan,rather what Mujahideen did, destruction of whole Afghanistan, and then in Taliban regime complete infrastructure destrcution.

lolzz lame excuses are always there when people dont have guts to move on.

Otherwise MQM was the biggest traitor but they have reformed alot and will you believe that this party which no one had even dreamed of fielding its candidates in Khyber Pukhtunkhwa NOW alot of Pashtuns here are its members and the party had fielded its candidates in areas where it was unbelievable.

ANP has great potential only if its shed its tunnel vision and restructure the party above all ANP needs to get rid of communist traitor elements like Afrasiyab khattak who are no friends of Pashtuns.

Currently Haider Hoti the CM of KP province of Pakistan, is sensible man and more such can bring a change.

ANP is not tribal lashkar neither they are hardcore group like JI, JUI why should ANP take up arms.
