Actually, the ANA fight like we're in the "Wild Wild West." If they got any inclanation someone's a Taliban they go with guns blazing rofl. Keep in mind it's limited to a few missions and a few things I've heard...but something I do know is...they expend a LOT of rounds lol.

But thats not how you fight when you are fighting for hearts and minds.
We will see how they do when you leave.

I'm guessing when we leave they will ask less and less questions for their own personal safety...but I'm not entirely sure.

when you leave they will negotiate with the Taliban and it will be the other way around.

Now you see Talibs joining the Government, when you leave it will be ANA units deserting and joining the Taliban. I don't think they want to fight their own people.

You see the fire in their eyes when someone talks about Taliban. Either they yell and say Chap sha or from that day on they won't talk to you.

Is it the fire in their eyes or the fear in their eyes because they know their future is not looking good. This fire in their eyes just creates more hatred for them from the locals. This is the reason that you don't see many pashtuns in the ANA.
This fight is can not be won militarily, it is political fight. militarily the US can not be defeated, politically they have lost. The Soviets were the same way. One with bigger firepower can only be defeated politically. The Taliban realize this but the ANA and NATO leaders do not, and the Soviets realized it when it was too late.

As soon as you talk about Taliban, (I just had a questioning nature the day when I asked one of the ANA) they made a finger-shaped gun and started shooting it..."Taliban no more, boom boom."

pakistan creation was a humiliation on the face of the planet and on the heart of pashtuns.

I think the creation of Pakistan was politically motivated. I mean it's like in Pakistan there's tech and a lot of brains, but no money.

In Afghanistan, there's tribes and no money.

I think people were trying to cut off "the best" part of the local area and turn it into its own country...but failed miserably.

The ANA is a joke. They have no respect from the people they rob. There is a documentary about the ANA brigade in Herat and all they did was sell their ammo to the Taliban. The Afghan Army during the soviet occupation was much stronger and had more legitimacy than the ANA of today that your superiors created.

They have created a half*ss organization that truly deserves the marking of "made in the USA" on it.
