Pashtuns have been taken advantages by their neighbors. The three groups of people who are doing their best to divide/conquer and controls Pashruns are:

      Parsiwaans
      Punjabis
      Foreigners

Parsiwaans are the number 1 group of people who are destroying Pashtuns. Afghanistan has slowly become East Iran, because of the Influence Parsiwaans know have in Pashtun country. Pashtun history has been rewritten by them, so Parsiwaans can claim that Pashtuns are actually Parsiwaans, who just changed their language (hence "Iranic" language) I could go on and on about those parasites. They also do a good job in blaming Punjabis of Pashtun plight, but do punjabis claim Pashtuns to be Punjabi origin?

My parents are both Pashtun to the bone, but growing up in Kabul made Dari their first language and the language of their parents a second one.

        No Afghans are Afghanic stock,
The Iranians are of Aryano-Afghano Race, Actually this is the new word, in old days of Pro-American Iranian era of 1930-1970s it was wrongfully labled as Irano-Afghan race which covers only 45% of Iran being dominated in Afghanistan at 80% this word simply reflects the racial group of Iran belonging to Afghanic stock, and since in old days of Irani-American haydays this theory of Aryans origin or Aryan invasion created in 1800s by the white suprior British empireof India stated that Aryans coming from Germany into 1. Iran into 2. Afghanistan and then into 3. India
The question over Aryan theory was brought into international discussion in 1976 and in 1986 major changes took place as artifacts found by the russians in Afghanistan from 1960-1975 of bronze age considered Afghanistan bearing Aryanic artifect of that similar of 1500-2000BCE of India as being older 3000-3500 BCE give Afghanistan the key position of being first so now not from Germany but from Eursia 15000 BCE-8000BCE into Afghanistan 3500 BCE into 2. India 2000-1500 BCE and from Afghanistan into 3.Iran 1500-1000 BCE.

Artifect and archealogical sites of BMAC was not complete however in 1988 more sites indicated that dated to be from 4500 BCE and that was no such sites of any Aryanic similarity was found in Eurosia, Sibera. And that similar to northern Indian Aryan artifects is only found south of Oxus and Mughab river that it was Russian pulled out in 1989 as well as researchers so the question was rested in Afghanistan so far being oldest. Up to this Day Russia still want to hold they theory that they were true Aryanics from 15000-10000 BCE and that it was from Siberia that Aryans came no such artifect has found until this day which indicates their position being older than those found in Afghanistan.

So Having said that now bring the question of what do you mean Iranic a word that was created by Wikipedia not long ago.

far from reality.iraian even claim Jamaludin afghani was iranain too.
Poor man was from kunar and a syed-pashtun.
Pashtuns are not even 1% iranain.Pashtuns and iraian are historical enemies. The kurds are influenced by persain culture and may have some relation with them.
Persain civilization never mean everyone is iranic.

Because of my parents who were raised in Kabul, they speak Dari with their friends and siblings (even though their parents spoke in Pashto). My cousins, sisters are all Farsi speakers who don't speak a word of Pashto. They have lost their identity so badly. I am happy I know my true heritage. My sister actually called Pashto, Kandari. See, this is how Parsi and Persians steal Pashtun history and people.

Know my dad feels real guilty, if he tries to speak Pashto even a basic phrase to my sister, she says "huh were Farsi speakers. I don't understand THAT language"

In America theirs a lot of people who are Pashtun, but speak Dari and not know Pashto. Most don't even know their Pashtuns.

I am very disappointed at the Kabul Pashtuns who were born in the 60's; they traded their language for Parsi as that was the main language of Kabul, while Pashto was the second.

              well tough luck
that still doesnt mean everything is like that.
i was born and raised in kabul so were many of my cousins and we spoke and speak pashto and you wont see a single person in my family speaking parso with eachother.
next time blame it on yourself not others.
matter of fact we uphold pashtunwali in kabul and kabul itself is much different than the picture you are trying to paint.

than again its you who needs to wise up and rise up.

It depends on the family. My moms sisters who still live in Kabul do not speak Parsi at all, only Pashto

Am only saying what I witness with my own eyes. Most of my pops friends are all Pashtuns, who speak Dari with one another. Their kids don't know Pashto, and most do not know they are Pashtun. So it's not only my family, am sure it's spread around.

Also, I am well aware that Kabul is completely different from the 60's-70's days. That generation did mess up, theirs no denying that.

Another thing: when I speak few Pashto words to my men cousins kids, I have to speak it low. If their moms find out, they will be mad at me as they view Pashto as a backward language.

Last I check Pashto is spoken by only 35% of the population in Afg know.

The answer to all our problem is pashtun unity.
If people adopted persio then it was also cus of disunity.
Lets the 60 million pashtun unite in one country and then we see how to deal with our enemies.
They are pushing us against eachother under different names.
Some use islam, some use watandari for their own interests not for pashtuns.
The longer pashtuns stay divided the longer they will suffer.
The dream land of pashtuns pashtunistan will become reality inshallah.
This war against innocents pashtuns is taking us to our final distination.
The most pakipied pashtuns are now turning against their country. The most persainised pashtuns of afghanistan see their future with holy pashtu not persio.
If not in our life but oneday they will be united.I hope they take pashtuns from southren afghanistan and pashtunkhwa to settle in punjsher, mazar, balkh, herat etc to pashtunize those areas and even change their names to pashtu.
