More Afghans interviewed in a latest poll published on Monday said US and Nato forces should start to leave Afghanistan by 2011 or sooner
Afghans have lost confidence in the abilities of foreign troops to bring security in the peace-thirsty country, the poll showed.
The opinion poll which covers the whole 34 provinces of Afghanistan found that Afghans are more pessimistic about the direction their country is going.
The poll was conducted nationwide by the Afghan Centre for Socio-Economic and Opinion Research for the Washington Post, ABC News, the BBC and Germany's ARD television.
Compared to the last year, Afghan people are more willing to negotiate with the Taliban, it showed.
People in southern Kandahar and Helmand provinces which have been the scene of intensive US military operations have experienced a significant improvement in their life including security since last year.
The number of people describing their security as good in Helmand province peaks at 67%, according to the poll.
The polling was carried out from 29 October to 13 November 2010, just before the Lisbon Summit.
More than 25 percent of respondents called the attacks against US and its allies justifiable, which is a shocking finding of the poll.
