New Delhi: The Inter-Services Intelligence Directorate (ISI), Pakistani's intelligence agency, is soon going to launch a massive operation to hunt down Taliban leader Mullah Omar. The agency, left red-faced after a team of US Navy SEALs killed al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden in the garrison town of Abbottabad, has decided to launch the operation before the US forces get him, Pakistani newspaper 'The Nation' reported.

Country's superior spy agency Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) has decided to go after Taliban’s Supreme leader Mullah Omer before the Americans have a chance to repeat their operation against Osama bin Laden, a British newspaper quoted sources as saying. A senior ISI official requesting not to be named told the newspaper that there would be huge military operation in Quetta very soon where Omar is believed to have been stationed. He said that the agency would try to take him alive while he could be killed if he would put up resistance.

10/05/11 A British newspaper reported that the US and Pakistani special forces were hunting the Taliban leader after new clues of his hideout were found.

Intelligence reports suggest that Omar is being sheltered in Quetta while the Inter Service Intelligence (ISI) is ready to take the lead after the US operation in Abbottabad.

Meanwhile, the US strike teams are fine-tuning plans for an assault on Omar s lair after collecting a trove of data from Bin Laden s compound in Abbottabad.

A senior ISI official confirmed that they were going after Omar, adding: "There will be a huge military action in Quetta very soon.”

"The decision has been taken to act before the Americans have a chance to repeat Abbottabad-like operation. We will try to take him (Omar) alive but if he resists he will be killed," the official said.

I had predicted that Pakistan would now hand over one or more of the three of the remaining extremist leaders i.e., Zawahiri, Omar, and Siraj Haqqani...That seems to have come true...

Islamabad, May 10: Pakistan’s ISI spy network and the US forces are on a race to get Osama Bin Laden's ally Mullah Omar, who is believed to be hiding in Quetta, near the Afghan border.

Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) was desperately looking for Omar last night to avoid further humiliation, which the country faced after bin Laden was tracked down in Abbottabad by US forces without the knowledge of their Pakistani counterparts, The Sun reports.

Confirming that they were targeting Omar, a senior ISI official said: "There will be a huge military action in Quetta very soon. The decision has been taken to act before the Americans have a chance to repeat their mission against Bin Laden. We will try to take him alive but if he resists he will be killed."

The decision came after is was revealed that US strike teams were planning to target Omar’s hideout based on the data that they found from bin Laden’s computer.

Fifty-two-year-old Omar, Bin Laden's right-hand man, has a 25 million dollars reward on his head.

Toramana, you reek of hypocrisy. First you say that Omar is protected and being supported by the ISI, now you are saying that is he being hunted by the same institution.
I very much doubt that any of these so called leaders know the whereabouts of each other. These operations that Pakistan is ordered to conduct by the US will just further destabilize Pakistan which is against the interests of Pakistan.

Besides the whole Osama raid is too questionable. No body, no proof. Even if a Mafia boss admits to killing the head of another family boss, the courts can not put him in jail unless a body is presented. That is the reason the mafia always made sure the body could never be found. This is all circumstantial evidence, in other words its all BS.

Mullah Omar just sounds like another mythical figure invented. Has anyone seen him, has he done any interviews.

Seems like America is fed up of the war which in all truth it has lost so suddenly every Tom **** and Harry is gonna be caught, which will then be construed as America has won and can leave with a dignified exit.

Hunting can mean anything, I am hunting for a new restaurent, Hunting can mean trying to locate someone or something in a bad way.

In this case, Its obvious Mullah Omar is hiding, because his side kick was gunned down, so a hunt must be made by ISI to get hold of him before the Americans do, It has nothing to do with hypocrasy.

Mullah Omar has opposed attacks on Pakistan army, he begged Hakeemulah Mahsud to not kill Col Imam, even the Afghan taliban sent a jirga to Miram Shah to release Khalid Khwaja and COl Imam last year.

                            Dont be so naive!

Pakistan knows hes there, that is why they are taking action after 10 years of giving him shelter.

What action, they will do nothing. His side kick was gunned down back in tora bora in late 2001. There is no evidence that bin ladin was in that compound since there is no body. All this stuff is a theater where America is the director. You and Toramana dont make sense, first you say that Omar is protected by the ISI and using him, now they are looking for him and want to hand him in because the pakis want to avoid embarrassment. Since when do pajabis have shame.
