if he is buried in pashtun areas, that would link Al Qaeeda with pashtuns. We don't want that at this moment in time. whats done is done. Afghans need to concentrate on their own problems and stop worrying about things they can do nothing about. If he is buried in pashtun areas other ethnicities will say "look, they always supported terrorists". Now we can all argue who is a terrorist and who is not but the fact of the matter is that many ulama have declared his actions to be unislamic. We don't need more controversial figures now do we? we have plenty to deal with already.

lol what? two things are not the same. wazir akbar khan was an afghan buried in his homeland. osama was a saudi who was granted afghan citizenship by taliban and we don't know where his body is and how he died. if osama was indeed buried in Afghanistan. then i wouldn't have a problem with it. But its not a top priority to look for his body in the vast ocean. the two cases are completely different.
