Dear readers, Taliban leaders from their hideouts have recently released a hate letter stating their commitment to another spring offensive. Attempts to spread fear and intimidation is insurgent weapon of choice. Taliban leaders in their hate statement once again threaten Afghans and members of the international community engaged in building Afghanistan with violence, assassination of tribal figures, and an increase in suicide attacks. Dear readers, first and foremost let us assure you that Taliban violence will have no lasting impact in light of the strong gains by Afghan and coalition forces. Every year Taliban claim the Spring Offensive will result in victory. Every year they retreat into the hills or across borders without victory. ISAF is ready for the Taliban with a Spring Offensive of our own. Their attempt to intimidate local populations is certainly not a new insurgent tactic used in their war against Afghan peace and prosperity. Insurgents known for brutality and fear think that their cowardly attacks launched on civilians and legitimate security forces of Afghan, exert power, relevance and influence over the Afghan population. These are, in fact, signs of their impotence and desperation. Dear readers, Taliban in a recent hate statement claimed to be the protector of civilians, but ironically was it not Taliban who claimed credit for using a child suicide bomber to with premeditated purpose and intent, attack a Shekin district Bazaar to kill and wound innocent civilians including Shekin’s head of tribal Shura and a women?

Did this not happen at same day Taliban claimed to be protectors of civilians? Taliban, who claim to carry a gun in one hand and a Quran in the other, abhorrently used a twelve year old boy to launch the attack on civilian gathering in Shekin. The Question is dear readers.
