  • What are the Islamist gullibles now to say?

When Osama's killing in Abbotabad was announced, there were some who either (1) called it another drama by the USA or (2) said that ISI allowed US to target Osama for strategic gains.

Now only fools will believe a state would allow another state to target one of the most notorious fugitive (whether one agree or not but the global image of the person) of history on its soil and cause itself huge embarrassment and problem not only at home but also in the international arena.

As for the drama part, not only Taleban but also ISI have accepted that Osama has been killed.

What are the Islamist to say now?

Foremost, does it not require deep soul-searching on the part of Islamists? The injustice in the international system notwithstanding, isn't it a fact that the only thing that can restore the honour of Muslims is a focuss on human and societal development, democracy, transformation, reformation, and becoming resourceful?

The unfortunate thing is, these people have made the heritic act of suicidal bombing as a part of Jehad and my opinion is, it is going to saty and to be used mercilessly in the inter-sectarian violence between Muslims in future until collectively rejected by Muslim scholars. Imagine, Deobandis killing Shias, Wahabis killing Barilvis, etc. with suicide bombing by calling them infidels etc.

Shouldn't we think what damage has it caused to us?

catch 22 situation. looks good to some that he was able to hide there but would look bad if pakistan was the one to kill or hand him over to the us.

faye, I think Iranians are smart people unlike the dumb Pakistanis...They wouldn't do things that would cause them trouble and ultimately may bargain.

I wouldnt want American hegemony , I rather have Chinese influence. Chinese are very clean and honorable people. Indians are dirty and smell bad.

I kid I kid. ....seriously, India and Afghanistan wont be a major player even with Pakistan gone, it will just become an American colony, China should be our ally against Imperialism.

China has a history of resisting imperialism, India has a history of turning it's back on people who resisted imperialism. My bet is for Chinese to take the helm.

Actually ......you actually rebuffed your own argument here.

Rereading the highlighted part, Pakistan has been suffering intense backlash against Pro Taliban/Pro Al-Qaeda sentiments in Pakistan; to offset the retaliation by such groups; it would have very well been in Pakistan's interests to act as a negligent party while being coordinately in collaboration with the American CIA on the issue of Osama's death regardless of whether he actually died this weekend or at an earlier time. They need to regain credibility by posing innocent. But even other articles on this board have said ...ISI know about every foreigner/foreign military personell who lurk out there, there's no way they didnt know they werent present and operating. Hence it would require their collaboration.

A small humiliation is merely just "Taking one for the team"; sort of like America was willing to let a bunch of loons crash Airplanes into the world trade center despite previous intelligence. There's more to gain as a victim than as a culprit these days.

                  ^^
These days? playing the victim has always been beneficial. Only a fool would believe that the Pak did not know about this operation. They learned that during the Iran hostage crises. how do you prevent Pak forces from firing on the helicopters if they did not know what was going on.
Every news media is saying different things for their respective populations. what ever fits their interests will be said whoever they maybe, US, Pakistan, India and the Taliban. It's mostly all lies.

i read that the area was a no fly zone, so helicopters at night, would have definitely stood out in the crowd.
