  • Prediction...Pakistan going to hand over Zawahiri, Omar, Haqqani?

The way it has been exposed completely nacked and the utter ebarrassment that the Osama episode has caused it as well as the damage to its credibility, there are high chances it will hand a few terrorists over to US...who could that be?

    Zawahiri
    Mullah Omar
    Gulbuddin
    or
    Haqqani

More then likely it'll be a couple years or more before we do a major attack again so we can do a big fell swoop of everyone...my 2 cents.

Moreover, think that the key players have some plan in mind for Pakistan? Covert support for fringe groups and the nuclear issue is one that simply won't go away.

Yea I believe something is in mind for Pakistan...but...now that I sort of think we are reactive...I think we are waiting for Pakistan to mess up or do something wrong.

The nuclear issue is no issue that I know of...I have never heard of anything nuclear related relating to pakistan.

if he was alive, they all knew, the yanks and the isi. they just timed his demise for some specific purpose. just like the recent bomb attack in morroca, conveniently attributed to al qaeda just before this facade. 'even though we got im we can't stop now, look what aq just did in morocco'

"Nuclear" is mainly used as a "show for power" these days and Pakistan is mainly dismissed except for that it was harboring criminals.

What purpose would it serve to have these individuals?

On the other hand I don't think there is any design for Pakistan itself other than that it does what it is told on Afghanistan, and as per this if it doesn't behave then it might be expecting something.

Leader of al-Qaeda terrorist network was supported by Pakistani army and intelligence agency, a top Afghan security official said on Tuesday.

Top Afghan security officials, including Defence and Interior Ministers as well as Deputy Chief of National Directorate of Security were summoned to the Senate House on Tuesday.

Briefing senators on security situation in the country, the officials said the death of Osama Bin Laden in Pakistan is a proof that insurgent safe havens and sanctuaries are in Pakistan.

The international community should understand this reality, officials emphasised.

"He was not having a guerrilla style life there. Pakistan's army and Inter Services-intelligence (ISI) were supporting him," Interior Minister Gen. Besmellah Mohammadi told senators.

Suicide attacks should be prevented from the places where they are masterminded and organised, Defence Minister Gen. Rahim Wardak said.
"The commanding system of al-Qaeda had lost its focus. They were not controlled from one single location," Gen. Rahim Wardak said. "It could bring a change in the intensity of war in the long run."

Government Information and Media Centre has said international community should target other insurgent leaders, including leader of the Taliban Mullah Mohammad Omar outside Afghan borders the same as Osama Bin Laden was targeted.

"We hope all those responsible for death of innocent people in Afghanistan and all across the world face their due punishment," Head of Government Information and Media Centre Hakim Asher told TOLOnews.

Analysts say other militant leaders, including the Taliban leader Mullah Mohammad Omar, leader of Hezb-e-Islami Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, and leader of the Haqqani network are in Pakistan being directly supported by Pakistan's ISI.

"The bottom line is Pakistan's spy agency that wants to support and fuel these extremist insurgent groups in pursuit of their national interests," Afghanistan's former ambassador in Britain Ahmad Wali Massoud told TOLOnews.

Don't worry about Pakistan, Pakistan is safe. Why would the US want to get rid of its best assistant. Pakistan has done far worse things for US interests than this.

                      1. Remember when they were selling nuclear technology to the highest bidder and then telling the US such and such country is buying it.
                      2. Remember when they had agents attack Mumbai killing hundreds of foreign and Indian nationals to get US aid ro help battle terrorists.
                      3. Remember when all Al Qaada members were caught in Pakistan including many top Taliban members at a time when it suits US interests.
The list goes on, all this and the aid package gets bigger and bigger.
Pakistan is a blessing to the US, The US is the magician and Pakistan is its best assistant. They make a great team.

Osama was in Afghanistan and they invaded the whole country, Osama was found in Pakistan 100 yards away from a Pak military installation, and Pakistan get a huge Aid package. Am I the only one that sees something wrong with this picture.

I disagree here with most of what Najib says in regards to those who came to get rid of the Soviets (hypocritical since he supported Soviets), but fast forward to 0:53. While I despise him, I can not deny that he was not right about this US-Pak game. I think you Khushal or Barakzai can give better insight since I am not too familiar with thse politics .

if obama comes under heavy pressure , probably closed to presidential election next one will be zawahiri. some firy statement will soon be coming from zawahiri, then his value will be raised in front of american public, so obama will not be criticised for his financial policies.
