<H1>Muslim Community Leaders Welcome News of Osama bin Laden's Death

'His perverted understanding and hijacking of our faith has been a blot in history'

The leaders of two Muslim community organizations in D.C. expressed relief Monday at the news of the death of Osama bin Laden. The Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) and the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) together called on Americans to close this chapter of history and to put behind them the "perverted" ideology held by Osama bin Laden and the minority of Muslims who followed him.
"His perverted understanding and hijacking of our faith has been a blot in history. And while calling young people to give their lives for empty rhetoric, he sat in his mansion of pity and self-righteousness, guarded by high walls and barbed wire," said Haris Tarin, the D.C. office director for MPAC.
Imam Magid, the president of ISNA, said he found it "disturbing to see someone protecting himself" while sending children to "blow themselves up." And while he did not have details on any possible Pakistani support for the terrorist, Magid repeated that it was "very disturbing" that he was kept so comfortably all this time.
What of the threat of retaliation and retribution by extremists in American and abroad?
Magid said bin Laden's death dealt a "great blow to al-Qaida" that establishes a "very loud message" to extremists that "you cannot do a crime and walk away with it."
Magid said his message to his community is that the Quran teaches Muslims to "stand firm for justice, even if against our own self."
"I would like to remind my fellow Muslims that the community at large has stood with us at the time of 9/11 and differentiated between the terrorist act and Islam," added Magid.
When asked if it perhaps would have been better for bin Laden to have been captured rather than killed, Tarin responded that the al-Qaida leader "had chosen which way he wanted to go."
The terrorist's death makes for "bright but uncertain times" that require all Americans to "continue to remain vigilant" for extremists and terrorists among us, said Alejandro J. Beutel, MPAC's government and policy analyst.
The news prompted greater security at Metro, at Fort Belvoir and at airports.
"We will turn to each other today united and emerge tomorrow with an even stronger resolve to take every action necessary to protect our nation and to stand firm as one community," Magid said.

Its up to you guys in what you guys believe. But I never trust such BS. While I personally like many others believe that long time loyal CIA agent Osama bin Ladin's body is not floating in some Sea but rather is still alive and well, maybe by now or already did some facial surgery somewhere in the corners of New York city.
Happy Ramadan everyone. &#x202b;نشيد (زين الشهور) كااااملة || Zain Ramadan Nasheed-Full Version&#x202c;&lrm; - YouTube

Sea burial of Osama bin Laden breaks sharia law, say Muslim scholars

Osama bin Laden's burial at sea was quickly criticised by Muslim scholars who claimed it had breached sharia law and warned that it may provoke calls for revenge attacks against US targets.
Others used the sea burial question to doubt whether he was, in fact, dead at all, with doubts fuelled by the absence of authentic photographs of his corpse.
Burying the al-Qaida leader on land could have led to his grave becoming a focus of contention and pilgrimage as well as posing tough questions about where he should be laid to rest.
"Finding a country willing to accept the remains of the world's most wanted terrorist would have been difficult," a US official said. "So the US decided to bury him at sea." The burial reportedly took place from the deck of the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson in the North Arabian sea.
Senior US officials told news agencies that his body would be disposed of in accordance with Islamic tradition, which involves ritual washing, shrouding and burial within 24 hours.
The 24-hour rule has not always been applied in the past. For example, there was controversy when the bodies of Uday and Qusay Hussein - sons of the Iraqi dictator Saddam - were embalmed and held for 11 days after they were killed by US forces. Their bodies were later shown to media.
Standard Muslim practice involves placing the body in a grave with the head pointed toward the holy city of Mecca. Burial at sea is rare in Islam, though Muslim websites say it is permitted in certain circumstances. One is on a long voyage where the body may decompose and pose a health hazard to a ship's passengers, an exception noted on Monday by the Tunisian scholar Ahmed al-Gharbi. Another is if there is a risk of enemies digging up a land grave and exhuming or mutilating the body.
Dr Saud al-Fanisan, former dean of the faculty of sharia law in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, said that if a body was buried at sea it should be protected from fish. In the words of alislam.org, the body should be lowered into the water "in a vessel of clay or with a weight tied to its feet".
Mohammed al-Qubaisi, Dubai's grand mufti, said of Bin Laden's burial: "They can say they buried him at sea, but they cannot say they did it according to Islam. Sea burials are permissible for Muslims in extraordinary circumstances. This is not one of them."
Abdul-Sattar al-Janabi, who preaches at Baghdad's Abu Hanifa mosque, said: "What was done by the Americans is forbidden by Islam and might provoke some Muslims. It is not acceptable and it is almost a crime to throw the body of a Muslim man into the sea. The body of Bin Laden should have been handed over to his family to look for a country to bury him."
The radical Lebanon-based cleric Omar Bakri Mohammed said: "The Americans want to humiliate Muslims through this burial, and I don't think this is in the interest of the US administration."
The Egyptian analyst and lawyer Montasser el-Zayat said Bin Laden's sea burial was designed to prevent his grave from becoming a shrine. But an option was an unmarked grave. "They don't want to see him become a symbol," he said. "But he is already a symbol in people's hearts."

So now the question was why burial in the sea? "Finding a country willing to accept the remains of the world's most wanted terrorist would have been difficult," a US official said
Well Punjabistan kept him at safty for ten years and I am very sure somewhere amongst millions and millions of Punjabi fans there is one home which will agree his burial in his home.

Michigan Muslims: Bin Laden met 'his justice'

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (AP) — A group of prominent Michigan Muslims say they welcome news about Osama bin Laden's death and urge the U.S. government to release as much information as possible.
The executive director of the Michigan chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations says Monday that bin Laden was "a criminal." Dawud Walid says bin Laden was "a murderer who met his justice."
Walid was one of a half-dozen leaders speaking at the Islamic civil rights group's state offices in the Detroit suburb of Southfield.
Imam Abdullah Bey El-Amin of the Muslim Center in Detroit says it's important for credibility and to ease doubters' minds that the government provides details about the raid, bin Laden's death and the disposal of his body.
