there needs to be an agreement and soon, before the americans leave between all parties and neighboring countries. leaving it up to chance will just be a rewind to the civil war.
Pakistan will sabotage any such agreement just as they did to the Geneva Accord. Azad Afghanistan needs at least 500,000 of well trained and well equipped army personnel and properly working civil bureaucratic system.

Unless these institutions are in working conditions Afghanistan will never be able to retain its existence, it will soon be turned into a Province of Pakistan(Punjab).

Anyone who is a Paki apologist can't be a friend of Pashtun Afghans. They won't gain much for their masters here, they are just wasting their times here.
All Afghans are against foreign aggression. No Afghan is tolerating it.

US reports show that Afghans are opposed to US presence.

there is no 100% that an agreement will be sustainable in the years after a withdrawal, but it would make it more likely than a sudden withdrawal and hoping that all these parties will settle their differences. the problem with the russian agreement to leave afghanistan was that it was made between the un, us, afg government, and pakistan without the participation of the mujahadin. with all parties involved, especially afghan groups, common terms can be reached and while no side will come out the winner, they can at least lay the foundations for sustainable peace.

if u look at the history of afghan reconciliation processes in the 90s, there were 2 big problems. one being no oversight as in the agreement of the mujahadin groups who eventually went to war with each other. meaning that it was only pakistan who oversaw the agreement as the rest of the world was done with afghanistan and we know pakistan didnt give a **** about afg. today, america also doesnt care about afghanistan but unlike pakistan, it cares about its own public image so it wont let an agreement go to hell like pakistan did for the sake of pr. the other problem during the taliban days was getting both sides to the peace table. all throughout the late 90s there was talk of reconciliation but no one actually sat at the table.

an agreement today would be something new entirely and worth a try, as afghanistan doesnt have very many options and the country has seen so many train wrecks and if we actually learned from these mistakes we would be a great country, except we keep repeating the same mistakes. its time to take new bold steps.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

I believe the only "agreement" will be the one "its ok to leave now."

We don't have any lasting commitments with Aghanistan other then an ally and an ambassador to Afghanistan.

No one cares about afghanistan and when does the US care about its image. If it cared about its image than why torture people in gitmo. Why invade Iraq when the rest of the world told them it does not make sense.
Afghanistan will see peace when the foreigners leave otherwise it will be in continuous war.

What is it with you and this false socialist anti imperialist lawrence of Arabia disguise dude.

and why do divide Pashtuns of Pakhtunkhwa because they differ in opinion than you?

Dude, you seriously need to get a life or a hobby, because everyday you write some real mumbo jumbo, I think you taken too much of a "Alex Jones" Dose.

Why dont you add the Arabised Freaks who brainwash little boys to blow themselves up in Arabian Saracen honour? like the guy below from Swat

I dont know why I am even commenting to you. Its obvious, you dont even comprehend what others think or say, its always about you and your past and your families past and how the Americans made you a slave! Dude GET OVER IT!

America dominates the world, Europeans to some extent, to avoid these two groups of people and to join the deserts of Arabia is asking for disaster and trouble.

Go and campaign for the betterment of Non Arab workers in the Arab states instead of pushing and force feeding this mumbo jumbo lawrenc eof Arabia non-sense into our mouths.

Remmeber this little boy, most of us here are full blooded Pashtuns, both parents are Pashtuns, you are a Half Arab, and you being a Minority in our Region, wants to force us and emotionally blackmail us with your deluded remarks into becoming Colonised Slaves of Arabia and its Interests, you being a Half-Arab does not give you the right to be catagorising Pashtuns into such groups, Most members here do not realise your crude motives, but I do.

We Pashtuns dont need any Obama to teach us about Unity.

Wont Work dude! dont get too excited.

                    .
You are so westernized, you have lost the essence of being pashtun. Every pashtun is full blooded. In pashtun society there is no such thing as half blooded, you are what your father is.
It is you who talks like a full blooded European who is 1/8 this and 1/4 that, who connects themselves with mutts. You don't even speak Pashto and you call yourself ultra nationalist Pashtun. You reek of hypocrisy.

I don't believe there will be inter-ethnic strife as some theorists want us to believe.

Please, remember that the Taliban arose out of the chaos witnessed during and after the Soviet-withdrawal. Again, their reach is spreading across Afghanistan for the exact same reasons as before.

Talks will happen once the foreigners leave, so the foreign presence and the continuation of the failed war is the barrier to peace, security, and prosperity in Afghanistan.

Talks between all good Afghans who have not collaborated is the key to Afghan peace. I guarantee we will see Afghan prosperity in our lifetime.

bump, this will keep being honed on. The US presence has resulted in regional instability. They are the barrier to peace. The Afghans have said there will be no peace talks with a lackey government in the presence of illegal foreigners.

This the bottom line. The whole world has recognized. The US failure in the world is not the fault of the Afghans.

The foreigners are fighting against the Afghan people, targeting them in night raids and airstrikes. This is well known.

Their presence is the barrier to peace in Afghanistan, The tribal jirga has rejected their presence and will never accept it.

They blatantly going against the Afghan people.

Their withdrawal does not mark the end. There will be war crime charges against Obama and Patraeus for the strategy they employed against the Afghan people.

They have committed acts of terrorism against the Afghan nation
